antiobl, withouth diverting this thread into an Indian vs Muslim/Pakistan row, you got to admit that of all these countries it has been India that has shown some improvement with respect to research in contrast to the Muslim countries, that actually have gone backwards

In what? making "hawai chappals" (beach thongs)?
Baba! I checked out the link posted by rvicks. They put bunch of Tonga-rehra (horse+cart) together, and some Gorna-ment afsar (Gov. officer) gets his 2 minutes of fame.
As I said, most of the Bharati-IT is in fact Amreeki-IT, without which it is always the same old Bharati-$hit.
Pak Bharat are at the same level (give or take some). Bharat, 7 times population has 6 times Pak budget. Where is the improvement?
If you do have to sell Bharat, make it like China. Same population but 3 times the economy!
antioble, you're confusing two things here: economy and science. Although both are intertwined with each other, they shud be kept seperate. The numbers you state show that India might not have developed with respect to economy, but when it comes to science it surely has. There are a lot of researchers from India, in fields like biology, medicine, psychology, social sciences. Even some of my books have been co-written by indians
