sad.

Re: School Shooting Season in Session

Guys, no need to make sinister remarks. Remember some kids were killed.... it is very sad indeed.
Fraudia, strict gun control is not going to resolve any of these problems.

Re: School Shooting Season in Session

................. but will they ever..............???

Re: School Shooting Season in Session

Fraudz bhai - I don’t get one point clear. You live in US & you are a lot familiar than me or any other non US guppy. How can you say NRA will tighten the noose, the last time clinton tried, I remember NRA going all guns against it. NRA is a very strong lobby, if I’m not mistaken. Even cars kill…no wait, morons behind cars kill…so that doesn’t mean curb driving licenses…???

M2K - As much as you dish arabia, how do you find this darkside of USA…??? Its more sinister and psycho then the video you so glamorously posted in video section about Dubai.

Here is a timeline

**October 2006: **A 32-year-old gunman shoots dead at least three girls at an Amish school in Pennsylvania, before killing himself
September 2006: Gunman in Colorado shoots and fatally wounds a teenage schoolgirl, then kills himself; two days later a teenager kills the headteacher of a school in Cazenovia, Wisconsin
November 2005: Student in Tennessee shoots dead an assistant principal and wounds two other administrators
March 2005: Minnesota schoolboy kills nine, then shoots himself
May 2004: Four people injured in shooting at a school in Maryland

April 2003: Teenager shoots dead head-teacher at a Pennsylvania school, then kills himself
March 2001: Pupil opens fire at a school in California, killing two students
February 2000: Six-year-old girl shot dead by classmate in Michigan
November 1999: Thirteen-year-old girl shot dead by a classmate in New Mexico
May 1999: Student injures six pupils in shoot-out in Georgia
April 1999: Two teenagers shoot dead 12 students and a teacher before killing themselves at Columbine School in Colorado
June 1998: Two adults hurt in shooting by teenage student at high school in Virginia
May 1998: Fifteen-year-old boy shoots himself in the head after taking a girl hostage

April 1998: Fourteen-year-old shoots dead a teacher and wounds two students in Pennsylvania
March 1998: Two boys, 11 and 13, kill four girls and a teacher in Arkansas
December 1997: Fourteen-year-old boy kills three students in Kentucky October 1997: Sixteen-year-old boy stabs mother, then shoots dead two students at school in Mississippi, injuring several others

Re: School Shooting Season in Session

any of which problems?

a normal guy going berserk and shooting kids in a school sure, but gun toting gangbangers may be reduced.

If only it was done sooner Tupac would still be alive :frowning:

Re: School Shooting Season in Session

Mal1k, you are completely mistaken, where and when did I say that the NRA would tighten the noose.

Re: School Shooting Season in Session

So, you a big Tu-Pack(s) fan? :)

Re: School Shooting Season in Session

No but i feel the pain of all tupac fans :D

Re: School Shooting Season in Session

Whilst I'm in favour of strict gun control, using cases like this to advocate it undermines the cause of gun control.

This man, like the Montreal college shooter did, would have been legally able to get a registered gun. You might argue that maybe he should not be allowed to get a powerful gun, but the way he tied up his victims, even a hunting rifle or common shotgun would have been enough. Heck... he could have killed them with an air rifle in their condition.

Gun control must use better examples. The goal of gun control should be eliminating the illegal firearms, not the legally held ones that are involved in only a minority of crimes.

Re: School Shooting Season in Session

I agree with MS, the focus should be on removing illegal guns and enforcing laws currently on the books. In addition to that it's to the ban of automatic weapons which Bill Clinton did back in '94, it had a 10 year expiration date and Republicans allowed it expire rather than renew it. Second, it's time to close the gun show loopholes (no background checks ect).

In the future I see more guns on the streets as more state pass concealed weapons bills. This no doubt will happen quicker if a terrorist organization ever decides to start gunning-up public places. Right now that's not aQ's MO, gunning down a Wal-Mart (Wal-Martyrs?) isn't exactly spectacular and moving from 9/11 to that would be quite a step down and be seen as weak. That said, aQ might change direction or some jihadist copycats might make it their signature which will boom private ownerships of guns and fast track the passage of concealed laws, which is rather ironic. Good times.

Re: School Shooting Season in Session

legal or illegal, there is not place for guns in the society. In case someone really needs it, he should get a court order. We need stricter gun control in US.

Re: School Shooting Season in Session

I'm not going to argue against you. Often it's easier to get a gun then it is to get a drivers license.

Re: School Shooting Season in Session

Fraudia bhai, my baddd. I was actually trying to say that even if the president does tighten the noose on guns, it just wont happen. I know for a fact that NRA is very strong & it will take ages before any strict gun law is passed in USA.

Re: School Shooting Season in Session

agreed, but it needs to be done..
..maybe the current scare tactic would work..alkayda cells will get em so lets ban em..
..next day its banned..

Re: School Shooting Season in Session

:hehe: Nope it still wont work. Coz I remember, there was a shooting incident inside the airport around 2002 & it was a Muslim guy, who opened fire in the Israeli check in area. Did guns still get banned…??? Nope.

I think guns will remain for a very long time, coz its a culture I guess.
