School misdetecting lice/nits

So my daughter was sent back from school today. They have had 8 cases of lice and were checking heads this morning. My daughter had light dandruff and apparently they thought she had nits (my husband was dropping her off and he kept saying its dandruff but they didn’t listen to him).
When she came home, I checked and checked her head and combed and combed with a fine-toothed lice wali comb, I couldn’t find any lice or nits… my poor baby was crying cuz she was sent back home and she missed an activity she was looking forward to all week :(.

I feel like calling and yelling at them, but then I was like its better for them to be more vigilant, no?
Khair, she will go back to school on Monday… what if they keep saying she has nits and lice, how do I convince them its just light dandruff that she always has.

Re: School misdetecting lice/nits

let them know you used the comb and it looked clear. but yeah it's better safe than sorry.

Re: School misdetecting lice/nits

Get rid of that dandruff. Talk to a dermatologist if there is need to do so.

Re: School misdetecting lice/nits

actually that is true, its better for them to be like that.

can you take her to school instead on monday? Guys, sometimes are not good in explaining all this parenting stuff to teachers but moms are.
