How many of you send your kids to school by school bus/van? Is it safe

i drop the kids myself but they return home in a van.. yes it is safe but make it sure that van guy is trustworthy..2ndly u should cal him on and off so he should know that how concerned u r about ur children n he will b careful about their safety as well…

u should cal him means that calling him often n asking him to take care of the children while getting them in the van n droping them off.. n if the children get late even 5 minutes, jst call him n ask about them…

We drop him and pick him up as well. There is no such thing as school bus or van here and I think he’s too young to travel alone with the bus.

I pick and drop myself, however I grew up riding the school bus home every afternoon. It’s perfectly safe, but there can be some behavioral concerns…most bullying and/or malicious behavior usually starts on the school bus.

here in UAE school buses are very common and school fully take the responsibility of the students and its very safe here

myself or my mom drops her to school and she also picks her up.
school buses here are very common , many people are benefiting from it. I personally feel after the child is 6-7 years of age they can be send by bus but before that it’s better that to do it yourself.
my mom’s major concern has always been that here the vans/buses use CNG , which had a major major accident in Punjaab like a year ago and over here in Karachi also there was one such incident.

right now I drop her off and pick her up but in the coming year, when she starts middle school, she will be taking the bus there and back.

Until last year, I’ve always always did pick and drop for my kids or when hubby is here he does it.
For past one year however, I’m not very well and have to arrange a taxi or something like once or twice in a month or so.

I am in the US and send my kids on the school bus. Once in a while, if it’s raining etc I will pick my son up from the bus stop as it’s a bit far from our house.
