Does anyone have any idea whether the govt of Pakistan gives grants or scholarships to ppl who are admitted to unis abroad?
It would be really really helpful if I could get some help inorder to find out where to email/call to get intouch with the appropriate mehkma in pakistan…
I have a chance of a life time…but no paisa…well the uni has offered some…it is the rest I am responsible for…
The only scholarship which Pakistan govt provide, that i am aware of, is SnT (Science and Technology) scholarship for post grad or Ph.D programmes.

undergrad you are more then likely to be on your own. Unless you can get a commonwealth award or something from the school it self. I know a couple of students at MIT who got funding from the school but I am not sure of exactly how they did that.
hmcq are u aware of any grants from pakistan? or any companies ...I found some stuff on the internet but it seems that big comps like to fund organizations..not individuals...

I'm certain that there is more $ granted by American organizations vs. Pakistani organizations. There are books and tons of resources for someone committed about finding $ for education. I sugesst that you look at American foundations.
Do a search on google, I'm sure that will point you in the right direction.

in undergrad your college should give you aid.
there's hardly any organisation in pakistan that gives that much aid yaar, unfortunately. or atleast i havent heard of anything.

i dont know too much about that but i do know that these days a lot of colleges like LUMS, FAST etc and others offer scholarships to their students i think based on merit.
there must be other organisations offerring aid but i am not too sure about that.
actually i am part of iopwe, intl org of pakistani women engineers. u can chek out the webpage at iopwe.org and infact become a part of it too. we have a program for giving scholarship to paki women for studying in pak, and its a actually a pretty alive and useful prg. u shud chek it out.
