**I dont think so...that they do not entertainSchengen visa **yet!**
In Dec-08 I visited Zurich on SWISS Visa...and I had *Schengen visa* but the lady on the counter preferred SWISS Visa and upon my query--she smiled and said "They have us included also..but notification is still awaiting the nod of the parliament:)"
Re: Schengen Visa
Yeh, hubby can go switzerland without the Schengen Visa even..but I dont wanna go there as been there b4....but thanks guys for your advice
Re: Schengen Visa
As of now, you do need a schengen visa to enter switzerland.
I think my husband must have had about 7 or 8 issued in the past two years, from different embassies. Goodness knows why they won't just issue one for longer than our travel dates as it's a bit inconvenient having to apply for one each time we want to go away.
I think it is already ok now, swiss is part of the schengen zone now and has been approved by the parliament. they enacted the changes in december 2008, now that it is over 1/2 year down the road already, they have it in place. here is a complete list with a map too - schengen visa (click the link with schengen zone). hey, btw, do not confuse between the schengen zone and the european union, they are not the same, i think there are some state that are not part of the other one and the other way around.
