Anyone heard of her?
Shazia a.k.a Schaz, an up and coming female singer, has released her debut video that features our supermodel Iraj in it…Many might think that it is Iraj who makes Schaz’s video noticed but it would be unjust to say that the song is not good. Schaz has written and composed ‘Jalan’ while the brilliant Shallum Xavier of Fuzon strums the guitar in the song. Schaz seems to be a promising new female singer and stands out in the new crowd of the new female pop singers, out of which none have made a mark as yet, leaving Hadiqa as the undisputed queen of Pakistani pop music. The video, which boasts of girl power lacks in story. The concept looks like alter ego and uber feminism but the execution leaves much to be desired. Both Schaz and Iraj are running around in malls, having food and strolling away. Thelma and Louise this ain’t, but we suppose that in the land of the pure, two girls driving around in a car wearing jeans qualifies as radicalism. -jang
