Some nice clean area you live in where people steal handbags and put rat poison in your food.

ye and the bag itself can be quite valuable too you know, besides it has credit cards, calling up each creditor can be quite a hassle. What about receipts for things I haven;t fully decided I am keeping? and perfume? That alone is well over $50.00. what about car keys?

besides its just not about valuables but the fact that you have been violated.

Well, we, women are not as kanjoos as some of the men in this thread. We carry a lot of expensive things in our purse, not to mention the actual cost of the purse, itself. And, mind you, i had a 15,000 limit credit card in my purse.

what did u do?

I just kept walking ofcourse. Right outside the Starbucks across the street from my apartment. If I had a purse it would have swung across his head. I just had a baby a week before and so I was lactating to the maximum limit. I got a few catcalls during this time but I certainly didn’t expect that kind of reaction.

It was like open hand, smack, right on. Like some kind of knee jerk reaction he had. But back to purses. Somebody stopped me in LA at a grocery store and she advised me to never leave my purse in the cart. She said that she had hers stolen before and always keeps it on her shoulder now.
