And Afia, how are you sure your doors were locked when you you went to your car, we tend not to notice whether the doors are locked or unlocked when we press the unlock button on the remotes, so its not really probable that you couldv’e noticed it, unless you went to the door and manually checked. (I usually don’t, thats why I’m saying it). And the car you drive probably has an auto-lock system, set on a timer.
And yea, manual was either out cuz the thieves wanted to know how to take out your navigation system, which is pretty funny and brave of them 
, but also cuz they might have searched your dashboard for other valuable stuff. 
Get a surveillance system, or start parking in the garage**
