Following American Pie, Lord of the Rings and The Matrix, another cinematic trilogy will come to a close with the third installment of the Scary Movie series is Scary Movie 3. The film is a sequel to the runaway 2000 hit Scary Movie and 2001’s Scary Movie 2 which are comedies that spoof horror films.

Some of the movies being spoofed this time include Lord Of The Rings, Star Wars, The Ring, Catch Me If You Can, 8-Mile, The Matrix and Signs.

Anna Faris (Cindy) and Regina Hall (Brenda) will reprise their roles in SM3 but fans of the series will probably most be shocked at the fact that neither Wayans Brother are reappearing. They also didn’t help write this movie, and Keenan Ivory Wayans isn’t directing. Kevin Smith helped write the screenplay for this sequel of Scary Movie series.

Guest stars include: Eddie Griffin, Jeremy Piven, Denise Richards, Leslie Neilson, Camryn Manheim, Pamela Anderson, Jenny McCarthy, D.L. Hughley, Queen Latifah, Ja Rule, Fat Joe, Master P and Redman.

SM3 released in USA/Canada on October 3rd, the UK on October 31st, and New Zealand and Australia on December 11th.

I wonder why the wayane brothers arent in this one? Even though Im not a big fan, they will be missed in this one, especially the one that weed smoking character!!!

The previous 2 parts were pathetic to say the least. I don't expect much from this one either. I'll be surprised if this one makes it through the first week. :)

CONFIRMED! October 24th is the release date.

But originally the release date was Oct 3rd which now has been pushed 3-weeks late. And it goes all for homies livin' in U.K, New Zealand and Australia as well.

Hilarious dancing with a dead woman, and great scenes with characters involving the television that something I haven’t seen before.

Better than I expected. Even though without Wayans Brothers, the movie does bring great laughs. They are never ending. If you loved the first and second one then you will ABSOLUTELY love the Thrid one! Scary Movies series have been Hilarious year after year! Freakin’ awesome! I dunno why this movie should be critically review. Oh well Critics will lose their jobs. :stuck_out_tongue:

Spoofing more than horror movies was a big step from the first two movies but the SMs pulled it off in style!
