I was just agreeing with Mirch bhai since robbing and mobile snatching is very common in Karachi which 'meant' according to Mirch Bhai is equivalent to facing death :p
I couldn't understand the context of your post although I do agree with you.

But this isn't about being buried in Jannat ul Baqi. I wonder if he even knew he was going to be buried there. It is about understanding that what awaits you on the other side isn't something to be afraid of but you have to work for it.

reminds me of an incidence happened to my mom.Back in Karachi, mom once went to get me some gola ganda ( ahem) , as she was crossing the road.. some bikers passed by her firing in air... boyy was that scary!!!
@ When I was in a car crash (I know I know, ive mentioned it thousands times already :D ) I had no hope to survive. All I was doing was reading durroood/Kalma and thinking how I am leaving so much stuff unfinished and that I never completed my degree sobs.. God, I was so selfish at that time I wasnt even thinking about my family :(

I think death itself isn't scary - like, the process of dying, the physicality of it, doesn't phase me. It's the aftermath that makes my heart stop, that makes me want to really be a better person and a better Muslim. Death is something you can't change, you have no control over it...your afterlife you do (ie- thru good deeds etc). I mean, for me anyways. Don't wanna offend any atheists on here.

The thought of afterlife is scary because we don't really know what is going to happen to us.

Its not the death itself that is scary unless its the one mentioned by some people as the painful death (when the soul is not leaving the body and person is in immense pain)
What scares me is the fact that the loved ones would be left behind...devastated and in grief....i do not know how they would cope with all that

Well death is reality we all gota face it one day. I have seen two friends die front of eyes on different ocassions. And ironic thing was..when first one passed away..then the second one was there with me. And afta few months he was gone as well. What scares me about death is..laying in dark facing unknown.
