Re: Sayings of Pious People

^ JazakAllah khair dl brother for the kind words of encouragement.:)

Fear more the sin when you are out of sight, it is where your witness is also your judge.

Don't think how small your sin is but think how big your Al-mighty Lord is..

Re: Sayings of Pious People

Wisdom is the sharing of wise experiences and knowledge, but a lot of it is common sense. The difference is how we apply this common sense - we all have the ability to keep going even when we face challenges in our lives - basically it comes down to your attitude. We can have a positive attitude towards life, or a negative attitude. We can focus on the good or we can focus on the bad. Keeping a positive mental attitude is one of the keys to success. The choice is always up to us!

Re: Sayings of Pious People

Soul

Neither genius, fame, nor love show the greatness of the soul.
Only kindness can do that....

Where the soul is full of peace and joy,
outward surrounding and circumstances are of
comparatively little account....

Love looks not with the eyes, but
with the heart and soul!....

The eyes are the gateway to the soul.
A person's eyes tell everything about them....

Re: Sayings of Pious People

We should always leave loved ones with loving words. It may be the last time you see them, ever.

We are responsible for what we do, no matter how we feel.

Either you control your attitude or it controls you.

Heroes are the people who do what has to be done when it needs to be done, regardless of the consequences.

Just because someone doesn't love you the way you want them to doesn't mean they don't love you with all they have.

it isn't always enough to be forgiven by others, sometimes you have to learn to forgive yourself.

Re: Sayings of Pious People

again, absolutely right all of these sayings have sanity in them. but it is also true, people are only as ethical as they do. so inorder for everyone to believe in the words of piety, they must live them out consistently as well.
best,

Re: Sayings of Pious People

^JazakAllah khair Dushwari sister for the kind words of wisdom.

Nothing in life is to be feared. It is only to be understood.

You must be the change you wish to see in the world.

"Peace starts with a smile."

"There is no way to peace.
Peace is the way."

Re: Sayings of Pious People

In life, dont expect anything from anyone. Because expectation, when not fulfilled, gives you pain. When you get something without expecting it, It gives you pleasure. Keep doing your part and leave the rest to Allah (swt).

Do your level best, hope for the Best, but be ready for the worst.

Re: Sayings of Pious People

The things that made me stronger are the ones that didnt let me sleep at first. -Anonymous

Forgive your enemies, but never, never forget their names.-

The true measure of a man is how he treats someone who can do him absolutely no good.

Throughout life people will make you mad, disrespect you and treat you bad. Let God deal with the things they do, cause hate in your heart will consume you too.

If your problem has a solution then…why worry about it? If your problem doesnt have solution then…why worry about it?

Honor

"Dignity does not come in possessing honors, but in deserving them."

"It is better to deserve honors and not have them than to have them and not deserve them."

"No person was ever honoured for what he received. Honour has been the reward for what he gave."

Re: Sayings of Pious People

Career unhappiness often results from lack of focus, and lack of focus stems from limited self-knowledge. But self-knowledge takes time, introspection, and effort.

Re: Sayings of Pious People

well said, brother STP.

also, when someone constantly blames one's parents on being forced to choose a profession, i find in youth mentoring/counseling work, that they are agitated.
this should not be.
knowing one's aptitude is necessary.
and more important is favorable times in which to acquire and achieve all prep to enter a field as a trained professional who likes coming to work.

best,
Dushwari

^ Well said sister.

Re: Sayings of Pious People

No wind favors he who has no destined port. —Montaigne

The cliche, "If you don't know where you're going, any road will take you there," is valid. And many careers are broken by lack of direction. Corporations define this concept as having a mission or vision, and organizations lacking vision usually flounder. "Career Planning" speaks to the idea of creating a blueprint for your future. That is, having a goal, a destined port—fulfilling your destiny. Stephen R. Covey said it well in The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People when he advised us to "Begin with the end in mind."

Re: Sayings of Pious People

OK am not sure but i think when u use word pious, that means a person who never commited sin, ?
can someone plz tell what does this word litterally mean ?

Re: Sayings of Pious People

Well the I myself am not sure, but the dictionary defines it to be dutiful, kind, devout.

Don't believe all you hear, spend all you have or sleep all you want.

Give people more than they expect and do it cheerfully

Talk slow but think quick.

When you lose, don't lose the lesson.

-Always be a first-rate version of yourself, instead of a second-rate version of somebody else.

*-It's not what you do once in a while, it's what you do day in and day out that makes the difference. *

Re: Sayings of Pious People

Don’t criticize what you don’t understand, son. You never walked in that man’s shoes.

Criticism, like rain, should be gentle enough to nourish a man’s growth without destroying his roots.

You don’t need strength to let go of something. What you really need is understanding.

Any fool can criticize, condemn, and complain but it takes character and self control to be understanding and forgiving.
