Re: Sayings of Pious People
Five are the marks of Allah fearing people;
1-They do not associate with people other than those with whom they can maintain terms on a religious basis.
2-They restrain their private parts and their tongues;
3-When they make any large temporal gain, they take it as a curse, and when they gain even a little piety, they consider it precious;
4-They do not eat to their full even of what is permitted for fear that anything forbidden might be mixed with it,
5-They consider all people pious and pardoned, but consider themselves as sinners.

The wise ones always had three principles:
to help all which is endowed with life.
to distribute the benefits of God in the places where people meet to mention and remember Him.
to wake up people to God by words of wisdom.

True Knowledge can only be acquired through humility. The path towards this knowledge is like a person’s wanting to drink from a stream: he has to lower himself to be able to drink. Water seeks the lowest level, thus we have to imitate water
Do not seek the Truth; first try to purify yourself
God elevates he who lowers himself

Re: Sayings of Pious People
Gratefulness and gratitude are links to Grace.
One has to disallow negative suggestions from entering one’s heart, lest it may become like a soiled stable.
One must not take notice of someone else’s faults and be drawn in criticism and judgment. Otherwise, one ends up ignoring one’s own faults

A foolish man tells a woman to stop talking, but a wise man tells her that her mouth is extremely beautiful when her lips are closed.
If the first inward thought is not warded off,it will generate a desire,then the desire will generate a wish,and the wish will generate an intention,and the intention will generate the action,and the action will result in ruin and divine wrath.So evil must be cutt off at its root,which is when it is simply a thought that crosses the mind,from which all the other things follow on.
