Re: Saying Thanks to Your Child's Teacher

I gave my daughter's teacher a spa gift collection certificate. She lovedddddddddddddd it. Just go to any spa or salon or beauty store and they have these baskets or certificates. You can pick your $$ amount. But that's because I knew she loved that stuff.

You may want to get her some jewelry item like a brooch/lapelle pin for her blazer/jacket or a pen set or a photo album...or a bracelet.

^ Yup gift cards to a spa or restaurant are lovely. I’ve also gotten pretty scarves and other accessories. I often get gift cards to book stores too, which is nice. I recently got a gift certificate for tickets to any show at the Kennedy Center! :smooth:

Re: Saying Thanks to Your Child's Teacher

wow... nice ideas :)

you could also give something traditional? like something from your home country. I used to bring things back from Pakistan to give as gifts.

Re: Saying Thanks to Your Child's Teacher

^oh yes, great idea.

such as???

Re: Saying Thanks to Your Child's Teacher

^shawls are ALWAYS appreciated, from what I've found. You could also get some household decoration items. But the shawls are your best bet, especially for a female teacher.

Re: Saying Thanks to Your Child's Teacher

Non-South East Asians ALWAYS fall in love with ethnic decorative items, jewelery, handbags etc. If I were you and had access to them, I surely would have considered stuff like those Sindhi vases, handbags, pillow covers etc. that have mirror work on it. THOSE ARE STUNNING. You may also wanna see ethnic chokers, earrings that Balochi or Sindhi women women wear. As other mentioned, gift cards to spas or book stores are very nice too.
