I heard a guy say today that he isn’t going back to Pakistan until “Imran bhai comes into power”. 
Such high hopes with one man? So what changes do you expect IK to bring about in Pakistan in let’s say the first year of his service?

Honestly, not too much. I like him a lot but I don't think he'll be able to live up to the hype.

If he sorts out Pakistan Cricket that is still more than enough. Point being is other leaders have done absolutely ZILCH!

It takes years for nations to evolve. So when he comes into power, he will be HOPE that a possible change is coming for Pakistan in the future. But not much will change in the first year, other than maybe some bills being passed.
Political process is very slow.

He cannot do much but a little bit difference here and a little bit there. And first thing he should do is no contact with his inlaws.;)

Also, if he could come and make LOTS of changes, that's much like a dictator. But in a peoples government it takes time for decisions to be made and major changes to be seen.

You really can never tell... A man can win or lose a nation in just 100 days.
Now Imran Khan is no Napoleon but then again he is a Pakistani cricketer and we all know how unpredictable they can be...
Have patience and give him and some of the others a chance to see what they can do... yes it takes time but who knows change can be sudden too, Imran Khan is a smart man, take it from me I reckon he has another card up his sleeve. Tricky man has been itching away for years. ;)

I don't think he can do much but I suppose him 'coming to power' (Hate that phrase) will bring about the idea that civilized, well spoken and reasonable people can be elected into those positions. Right now, all I see is scum or fossils that need to die or move on already.

Agreed, honesty wont work in Pakistan we need a full blown bloody revolution in which we lynch all the corrupt individuals to set an example so people stop. If you don't show people what could happen to them if they don't stop corruption, they wont stop. Ever. There has to be scruples set for our "jahil" quam.

I read somewhere that any kind of cultural change in a nation requires a willingness to change from the government as well as the upper class. Pakistan's upper class rich live off the "peasants", what motivation do they have to change?
With things going the way they are, there is going to be violence before people are willing to change.

In his Karachi rally he declared they would end corruption in 90 days, bit premature I think.

Grant it major changes will not immediately take place, but at most they can lay the groundwork for a new political environment and responsible governance.

We don't have tough criminals in our society, off course, other then taliban.
He can "stop" corruption even in two weeks.
But can he change our essence, which make us lairs, corrupt, manipulative stinky as a society, THEN NO he can't.
He is no Jesus.

he wl bring discipline in the system and that itself wl correct all the problems but ofcourse with time.
