You wanted to find out this man’s age but you don’t know him that well. He has helped you and you have talked to him a few times but nothing personal. What would you do?
I honestly don’t know what I would do and I am the kind of person who absolutely hates getting personal if I don’t know the other that well. Or for that matter, trying to get personal, I get embarassed

hmmm id just wait... i can never steer a conversation to such questions.. i personally find it embarassing b/c he could feel that ure fishin for info and that means that ure thinking/ judging or watever-ing him.. some guys are serious jerks so i wouldnt risk it... :S i mean it's upto u.. do u want him to know that he's (or his age is )under ur skin........ ?

If you did and he did.....then just ask him how old he is....not that difficult

just ask him, so how old are you?..iand if he gets any ideas like “oh maybe she likes me” is it really meant to mean that your asking soemones age just because u like them? no!
so just ask him…theres nothing to lose…ur only asking his age

Iraj: I would do that, but he lives in the same town as I so eventhough I don’t want to, I run into him now and then and then I get all depressed.

well if he really is the kind of guy who is going to get super upset at something trivial like you asking his age, do you really think he's worth hanging out?

If you're uncomfortable asking about his age, ask him where he finished his school and when did he graduate...That should give you a pretty good idea of what his age is without asking such a direct/personal question,.

How can I ask him his age when I don’t know him that way? It’s odd and it would be personal and I am sure he would get suspicious as to why I would ask such a question.
