I talked about that to some people actually. Lots of people are thinking maybe the real world, the one with zion and all, is yet another layer of the matrix. Maybe they're waiting to wake up from that too!

No, I doubt it. If that were true then why would the Agents need access codes to Zion from Morpheus in the first movie? if Zion is a layer of the matrix then why even bother or worry about it?
I think somehow when Neo made this choice of saving Trinity unlike five previous The Ones he surpassed rules and the boundries of the matrix and in the real world, he somehow became too powerful.

Just because he made a different decision inside the matrix doesnt mean he can get superhuman strength in the real world. If you look at the logical explanation right now for the way he behaved with the sentinels, either
The real world is, like i said before, a layer of the matrix. or
Neo is a magician. (Which i doubt).
In part 1 the Agents keep asking for codes to zion because agents have been programmed to guard the Matrix. To them, zion is outside the matrix and hence a real world. They are only programs and they follow orders.
In reloaded, Agent Smith has free will because he has been freed from the Matrix because of Neo and is now able to go to the 'real' world. As we saw in Reloaded, Smith was able to download a copy of himself in a body in the real world. What does that mean? You cannot just copy a program on to someone's conscience (unless you're inside the Matrix!). Hence the conclusion that the real world is another layer of the matrix where programs can come and go freely at a very restricted level.

the reason the story sucked because it was too comprehended for you to understand. maybe you should watch the first one and watch this one again, and you might like it. :)
You guys are wayyyyyyyyyy too much into the whole Matrix thingy
No offence. The movie is good. Action sequences were superb, though fights were stretched a little too long. Car chase was great. Motorbike scene was amazing, especially the camera-work, the way it will go under the trucks to follow the bike. Special effects are getting a bit over-board now.
The ending was abrupt (just like LOTR). The whole trilogy smacks of Lucas’ Star Wars “A Galaxy Far Away”. And they are trying to get the same leverage with out-of-the-world special effects and bundling a lot of confusing political and spiritual themes in a movie to keep movie-goers intrigued and guessing. And that brings people back again and again to see the movie, like our Umair, and that is a great way to get good box office results. :k:
Looking at how some of you are discussing the finer points of spiritual and super-natural aspects of Matrix and what not, seems, the formula is still working.
Its just a movie folks. Now don’t tell me you believe everything in X-Files too?
