watched it 1 and a half hours ago.. ending was pathetic.
Its not getting good reviews... They say its become more like a phantom menace type movie with all those machines and armies!!!
The first one rocked, with its limitations!!!
my roommate just saw it, she thought it totally sucked
While the whole world watches reloaded…I watch the “THE MATRIX”(first one) and get my thrills…nothing can beat the first movie!!:k:
Interesting, not a single good review.
After I came back I did that too
for comparison.
i saw it too.. ending did suck cause it will be concluded in the third part that will be out this november. there were some really awsome scenes in it:k:.. i loved the Freeway scene and especially the bike scene:k: rest the movie was good. not bad. id say 7 outta 10
What are you guys talking, if one doesn't know the plot doesn't mean the movie sucked, maybe it wasn't made for some people's gullable minds.
It was a great movie, if you love action movies than this one was great, there were couple hicups but the action makes up for it.
Before you go watch it, watch Matrix 1 first, or you won't know whats going on.

Umair bhai, Im sure the effects were good... But we are saying its not as good as the first one... This is the reason why the whole Matrix idea rocked in the first place!!! Wesay I must say again the effects were so awesome!!! The biggest dissapointment to me was Belluci!!! She has alot of potential apart from just talking and talking!
I think thats what us movie watchers get in a conflict.
Anytime a sequal comes out, it always has to be compared to the first one, no matter how good the sequal is, it will always be overshadowed by the first one.
But I agree, Matrix 1 was very good as far as the storyline and plot is concerned, but I am going to have to watch the movie couple more times to really understand whats going on. Samething happend when the first one came out.
umair give it a rest… the movie was just about as thrilling as watching a fat hairy cat.. cough up a fat hairy wet hairball , covered in fat hairy parasites. :yukh:

Action and special effects wise then yeah, but Matrix 1 was still the greatest movie ever made, atleast thats what I think.

TOTAL CRAP!
There has been a lot of conflict about this movie, probably one of the greatest differences between opinions that I've ever seen.
Personally, I think this movie rocked. While the plot was thin for the most part of the movie (thin? I'd say you need an electron microscope to find it), but the viewer was rewarded with exceptional effects and fight scenes, and, of course, explicit scenes. The fights were very well choreographed, and the camera work was excellent. The plot, whenever it was around, was only there to provide a reason for a cool scene or to give the viewer the impression that something was happening. All that crap about the keymaker was not really needed if you want to understand the storyline.
This was a jam-packed movie and you didn't have breathing room, but that was fine because you'd just be holding your breath anyways :p. Actually some scenes were so mundane, I just started thinking about other stuff, it doesn't require your whole attention for most of the movie, at least until near the end. The part in the end was what stole the show, in my opinion.
I wasn't expecting what I call the shock factor in the plot, like in the first one. I was expecting a filler movie between the two slices of plots in the first and second movie, that's just there to showcase their awesome effects and scenes. But at the end there was a shock factor in the plot (No, I won't give it away). A lot of people didn't get the end, I realized, but the few that did were excited and I bet are anticipating the third one with a lot of impatience. At any rate, this trilogy will go down in history, probably somewhere beside the Terminator trilogy (so far :p), if not for it's overall story, then for it's beautiful effects and scenes.
If the third one is anything like the first two, I can't wait the five months.

RT Wolf, As you said that you were actually impressed by the ending, usually, shouldn't the endings are always full of shocks and surprises, but in this one, we already knew the guy lying on the bed across from Neo was a traitor, as we saw it earlier in the movie with the knife cutting hand scene. Had they not shown that scene then it might have been a better ending, maybe someone well known from Zion becoming a traitor, someone like that commander (Niobi's husband)
**Some serious spoiling ahead:
(for your own benefit, do not read ahead)**
I was talking about how Neo stopped the Sentinals. He fell into a coma, same as the other dude. Either the other dude is working for the Machines (unlikely) or he's another One (a bit more likely). I and a friend went to watch it and both realized that there might be layers of matrixes (at least two), as in, the real world could be another matrix and Neo transcended another mental boundary in order to stop them, but this was harder because he is still plugged into the outer Matrix. Recall the lines: "It's different now, I can feel them" in reference to the sentinals. There was a bit of foreshadowing when he was talking to the Councillor in the Engineering level about control, to give life and to take it. He can do both, and giving life might be something that forced him to transcend the new mental boundary and have some control over the outer matrix. This is what I refered to when I meant the ending impressed me, from his meeting with the Architect to the end of the movie. The idea of multiple Zions and Ones surprised me, too, and I think better of the movie now.
A question that you will no doubt have is why the traitor wanted to kill Neo, I don't know why, but I'm thinking that he has a personal reason, such as, possibly, jealousy, or maybe he's just a little wack, kinda like Cypher in the first one. Who knows, at least until the last one, but I was surprised by the end of the movie, the rest was exactly as I predicted, full of what sells: kung fu, guns, violence, car chases and sex.
I think that if someone had to be evil, it would probably be the Counciller, not the Commander. The evil-seeming, up-tight Commander being evil would not have the same shock as the happy and friendly Councillor being evil. At any rate, I don't think Zion needs a traitor, it's doomed anyways.
One thing that I think the W Bros should have done is explain more of Smith, sure he's not an agent anymore, but how did he gain the ability to change people into himself, and remember that part where he takes over one of the dudes who are about to go back into the "real" world, and then picks up the phone and gets transfered into the "real" world? I wonder what happened to him after, it is also possible (although I'm not sure) that the person Smith took over, became the traitor. I'm not sure because I don't remember his face, but if I see it again, I'll keep an eye out for it. At any rate, Smith has a great role to play before the end of this trilogy.
Another thing that they should have done, is explain more about the Twins and the person who's their master (the french dude). Are they all programs? and if so, then what's their history?
