hmm, i think it's more than just savviness for me. technology has been a big part of my life for a long time. mainly computer related though. me and my bro have built our own pc's since the first one we had more than 10 years ago. so we have become the 'technology' people, if anyone needs anything fixing/needs something set up, or wants to know what laptop/digital camera etc they call whoever is available. so we're pretty clued up and use things on t'internets before most people have even heard of them - torrenting for example.
it's waning a lot though since i've become older. you have made me reminisce about the days when people used to come over to ours for LAN gaming.
i have to restrain myself with my fiance though. he doesn't like taking advice about things like this so i let him get on with it, but he usually ends up regretting not listening to me anyway! lol.
I know this sounds dumb but I always go with my first instinct- aik daffa kuch pasand aa jaye tou I almost always buy the same thing, even though I might look at a hundred better things afterwards.
To give an example, when chocolate came out I really liked it and got it for my birthday. Abbu jee predicted I'll ditch it in 8-9 months, but I have had it for almost 3 years now and love it! So techno savvy yes, but in my own weird ways.
I’m not tech savvy at all. I would love to stay on top of the latest gadgets and all but I just cant bother to learn how to use em unless someone personally shows me how to
Im tech savvy about most things, but I leave the mobile phone side of things to Mr Halwa, thats his department. I HATE mobile phone shops and AVOID them like the plague.
Other than that, when shopping for TV, camcorders etc, i go armed with research and give the salesperson a grilling, cos I dont like saleperson who think that u r thick and that they can charm u into getting a crappy deal. Then they get confused and I grab a good bargain cos they end up thinking i know more about it than they do and point out the negatives.
hahah i do the same thnig, the salespeople would have named me their public enemy number one i take ages and keep on questioning them… and yeah i also dont like it when they think that we are mindless peepz and will accept whateevr they say
