I thought difference besides size was that saugases are stuffed with actual spiced ground meat in comparison to hot dogs. They seem to be made from odd fillers or not so appetizing parts of a chicken or cow?? I could be wrong?

Maybe someone needs to set up a gourmet halal sausage company?! No I'm being serious. A sausage made of qaulity stuff would be nice on a bbq.
I've had halal sausages before, the greasy ones are just plain nasty!

I think its ok/halaal for Muslims to eat certified kosher foods? There are different brands of kosher hot dogs and sausages, the most famous is Hebrew National. They have no "fillers" and no odd-animal parts in the ingredients, its all beef from kosher parts of the animal and they are really very delicious.

There's also a company called Tahira-they do some nice stuff. Used to be a company called Al-Noor. They did some fab spicy sausages but they disappeared-along with Lilly rice.

i love sausages. they are spicy. vegi sausages. they imitate they spicy flavour of pork sausages. delish.
i dont car what anyone says ive eaten a real pork sausage first day i went to school (4yr old) and was given a pork sausage at lunch like all the other children, i rembember it was spicy and unlike anything ive ever eaten, until i ate a vegi sausage or hotdog.
My self and my brother told my mommy what we ate and she put a stop to our sausage eatign at school lol. These where the days when being muslim was a novelty. now u say your a muslim they bring you halal meat and a prayer mat.
so dont knock the sausage. try vegi ones, or try making beef/lamb/chicken. also try vegi hotdogs.

^ Pork sausages in school dinners, lol! You are not the only child who has unknowingly eaten pork in school dinners (and enjoyed it!)... That's not me btw, it's someone I know.
Another person was happily tucking into some kind of pork casserole, until she realised what it was, then started to cry at the table.

lol!! I once served my hubby's grandpa bean soup. He LOVED it! Then I realized it had bacon in it OH NOOOOOOO!!!!
I never told him. But he kept asking for more and I told him that the store didnt have any more :(
