i heard about it but i don’t know how to make it if anybody know how to cook plzzzzzzzzzzz share recipe

saNwf kaa saalan? u mean u use it as a major ingredient in gosht or sabzii preparations...right?

Do u mean a fresh fennel bulb used as a veg or saunf added as in achaar gosht.?

no , not in gosht or sabzi but it was like a shorba with a little grinded saunf that 's good to eat then you have flu , sore throat

people back home take herbal remedies [called [COLOR=Blue]joshaanda…u boil a mix of flowers petals and seeds and then drink it at regular intervals] for cold and flue. good luck in finding what u want…:)**

yeah my mother makes saunf ka salan n its superbbbbbb. I ll see if i can get the recipe from her

ohhhh it's realy good if you can get the recipe
my mil make it and it was delicious and good for your health when you have flu ........
i taste it one time when i go to pk few years ago now my huby wants that i cook it for him
but my mil has a trouble like alzheimer then she forget almost everything then i can't get the recipe

OMG is it just me or is anyone also main weird faces :S saunf ka salan?!!!! saunf aur dhanya ka soup samjh ata hia but salan???? so u eat it with roti??

its commonly known as chitt in the pinds of pak
u just make the usual handi ka tharka n add some ground almonds n saunf n ajwein bhoonify n ad water n simmer bas salan thayar

ingredient.
1 small onion chopped
tomato 1 medium.
garlic , 1 tsp
ginger 1 tsp sounf 4 tblspoon just wash
make good masla for basic handi

now you have 2 option mix ginger with sounf , with very light hand grind it, iuse my hand grinder for this purpose

if you don,t have just grind seprate ginjer and you can add sounf . put in masla bhoon 3 minutes add water and let it cook on low heat for 20 minutes , check after20 min sounf should be tender and you can eat with roti or as soup too,

i have the recipe that i want from my aunt

fry ginger and garlic in little olive oil ten ad sal and black peper and 2 grinded bari ilaichi 4 loong daar chini and zeera sabat kali mirch then add 3 sp of grinded fennel and 5 grinded almond bhoonify a little then ad water and let it on low heat for 20 min
and it's not a salan that eat's in the pind of pk it's a very good remedy for flu or sore throat you may eat it with roti , bread or drink it

i knw its not eaten in the pind i just ddnt know wat its called i can only remember my MIL refering to the salan as chitt :) n shes frm pind n thats wat the rest of the ppl call it too
ddnt mean it in a bad way
