What exactly is the point of a sauna? What are hte benefits? What are hte general dos and don’ts of being ni a sauna? And, stupid question

It's like a detox, and you shower before and after - very important to do this. Remember to stay hydrated during the process. I'm used to steam baths, so when I went into a sauna (dry heat) recently I was overpowered by the dry heat, couldnt stay more than 5-10 minutes.

If I went I would take a huge bath size towel with me. The gym towels are so tiny. It may be a good idea to put on lots of moisturiser on ur skin and a deep conditioning mask on the hair in the suana, no?

always make sure your skin and body are clean before you go in..... and then you can put on a deep cleanser on your face and massage for a while when u're inside because the steam in the sauna acts like a facial.....after a while cleanse it with a cotton and go out the sauna and wash your skin.....you can also put conditioner on hair cuz they will be frizzy if u dont. go back in the sauna and lie there till you break a sweat. after that it depends on how long you wanna stay in. remember to drink water while inside and dont fall asleep. also leave if you start feeling uncomfortable. saunas are not recommended for pregnant women and those wit high blood pressure problems......also saunas do NOT help you lose weight , all it will do it drain the water from your body (thats why take a bottle) and the weight u think u lose is the water weight which you will gain back as soon as u drink water..... so go there to relax and cleanse your skin.....and wash your skin with cold water afterwards to close your pores and freshen it.....

I am always afraid of steam. I keep thinking that cold water on opened pores will make them freeze right there instead of closing them up ![]()
