The 65th of the Quran is called At-Talaq, meaning Divorce. As you may guess, the key theme of the chapter is divorce, and in particular it lays down the legal framework of divorce.
God has dedicated an entire chapter of the Quran to divorces, and yet divorce does not please him. For it is recorded in hadith numbers 2172 and 2173 of Book 12 of Abu Dawood’s compilation of the Prophet’s saying that:
Narrated Muharib:
The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: Allah did not make anything lawful more abominable to Him than divorce.
Narrated Abdullah ibn Umar:
The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: Of all the lawful acts the most detestable to Allah is divorce.
