Re: Saudia Arab - Al Khobar visit visa
I have never understood their visa policies. It’s like they try to make life as difficult as possible. For Pakistanis with older kids, future is already kind of bleak. Local college is difficult to get into, sons cannot stay beyond their mid 20s on parents visa, and if daughters stay then limited opportunities for education and jobs.
It’s almost like they are saying “Oh… you are an experienced professional who can contribute a lot to this country and you have older kids? Well guess what buddy, we will try to make life difficult for you as much as possible by limiting everything for you”.
I get their point of view too, they don’t want lafangey type Pakistani youngsters in their 20s just hanging around doing nothing, so they put a limit on it. But come on now. Compare Dubai to Saudi. People go visit Dubai, get visa easily and talk about how they enjoyed it. People go visit Saudi, complain about how difficult the visa process is, and once they go there they wonder oh this is it, it is nothing special.
