Re: Saudia Arab - Al Khobar visit visa
Hi,
You can visit the Saudi embassy in USA website Traveler’s Information
I think you will need to apply for personal visa. The page has all the information required to apply for Saudi visa from USA.
Re: Saudia Arab - Al Khobar visit visa
i think they will soon stop giving all kinds of visitor visas from now until one month after the Hajj.

You are right, Only Business Visa will be granted(NO Umrah or Personal Vist Visa).
Re: Saudia Arab - Al Khobar visit visa
I m not planning on going haj time around. My question was is it ok apply for personal visit cuz i remember saudis dont give personal visa when i wanted to go for personal visit 4 yrs ago, but i heard from someone now they give personal visit visa regardless for employment, sponsership or business visa.
only in certain cicumstances. my brothers are never granted visit visas, whereas i do, being a daughter (my dad spnsors me). but its VERY difficult to gain one.... the only success stories i know are of parents (aged at that) if their son sponsors em... or daughters by their fathers.
so unless its your dad sponsoring you (and you being female), not high chances of success.

I have never understood their visa policies. It's like they try to make life as difficult as possible. For Pakistanis with older kids, future is already kind of bleak. Local college is difficult to get into, sons cannot stay beyond their mid 20s on parents visa, and if daughters stay then limited opportunities for education and jobs.
It's almost like they are saying "Oh.... you are an experienced professional who can contribute a lot to this country and you have older kids? Well guess what buddy, we will try to make life difficult for you as much as possible by limiting everything for you".
I get their point of view too, they don't want lafangey type Pakistani youngsters in their 20s just hanging around doing nothing, so they put a limit on it. But come on now. Compare Dubai to Saudi. People go visit Dubai, get visa easily and talk about how they enjoyed it. People go visit Saudi, complain about how difficult the visa process is, and once they go there they wonder oh this is it, it is nothing special.
Re: Saudia Arab - Al Khobar visit visa
Dubai is becoming kufristan fast while Saudi Arabia is a conservative society. Dubai is what Beirut used to be. i wonder how long the world's bad guys who find refuge in Dubai will keep quiet. they will start gang violence? it's not beyond imagination. it's just a matter of time. economy has already shown cracks and is in a downward trend. let's see how long UAE will keep it afloat.
