Re: Saudi Youth & Romance via Cell Phones

So i can use my bluetooth to flirt wit random guys ??? AWESOME! :dhimpak:

Re: Saudi Youth & Romance via Cell Phones

If a guy actually likes a girl or vice versa, it is not the end of the world.

Call me crazy, but I think muslims have enough things to worry about.

Re: Saudi Youth & Romance via Cell Phones

I was too bz playing SEGA at that time :snooty:

Re: Saudi Youth & Romance via Cell Phones

This reminds me of an episode from American Dad where they visit Saudi Arabia and hilarity ensues.

Re: Saudi Youth & Romance via Cell Phones

Yesterday reading the newspaper I was taken a back and remembered reading this thread.....

On the opening day of Asian Games in Doha (Qatar) 6 young women returning home after watching the openiing ceremony. A young (local ) guy was chasing them in his landcrusier, and trying to take picture with his mobile phone camera and he lost control. Resulting in death of all six women ( 4 were working women, 2 students ) .
The guy gave in few days later and handed himself over to the local authorties. Allegedly, he lived in the same neighbourhood as those girls

Re: Saudi Youth & Romance via Cell Phones

The kids are stupid, and the parents are even more stupid.

When a kid becomes a teenager, the parents should activley engage them on talks about marriage, and the parents are the one who should set out a plan of action on how to get the job done if the kid isn't okay with blindly marrying whoever.

Otherwise, you get this nonsense...

Re: Saudi Youth & Romance via Cell Phones

Codey, whenever you come down to Dubai, I'll give you live on hand experience of how to catch a fish via bluetooth...:D

Re: Saudi Youth & Romance via Cell Phones

That’s a very westernized approach to seeing things…The acts of a few does not represent the actions of the whole…Not every Muslim has a bomb hidden under his coat…

I have many relatives living in Jeddah and Riyadh, however I have never come across such stories…It is going for the precise reason of digging up something when that something surfaces and the reporter came back with a story that he wanted to mole up…And as the desired result was maligning a people as a whole, he succeeded that all Saudis are misbehaving, rich and spoilt playboys…

In the ignorant it raised their stereotypical notions while those that are aware know that all news should be taken with a grain of salt…An entire shaker if the news happens to be about Muslims written by a westerner…

Re: Saudi Youth & Romance via Cell Phones

It is also ignorant not to see what actually is happening. I have been to Saudi a few times and this is exactly what I have observed as well. My friends living there have a lot more stories to tell.

I don't find such things sad as someone mentioned. It is pretty normal.

Re: Saudi Youth & Romance via Cell Phones

If someone knows the difference between Blackberry and Bluetooth and how that's different from using a phone, please let me know. Its so confusing to read this stuff that deals with this technology.

Re: Saudi Youth & Romance via Cell Phones

^ Bluetooth is a communication technology, like for instance if you have two bluetooth enabled cell phones close to each other, you can send and recieve msges, send pictures, songs etc... So if someone was standing close to someone else with a BT enabled phone, he can, without even knowing any details send a msg etc...

In Pakistan, I kept on getting these msges like 'Sara wants to connect with you' etc but those were actually viruses that some of our takreebhkaar bradraan are so fond of sending, afterall, the worlds first computer virus was invented by a Pakistani fella

Re: Saudi Youth & Romance via Cell Phones

lol

Re: Saudi Youth & Romance via Cell Phones

bhai saab it was not a malacious virus but an tool against copyright infringement … when it comes to muslims, bechara chowkidar (watchman) can be termed as insurgent quite easily :frowning:

Re: Saudi Youth & Romance via Cell Phones

^ Man did u give the wrong site as Ref.

Re: Saudi Youth & Romance via Cell Phones

^ Nop :p
dont think so
If i ma not rong , He is talking about the same virus

Re: Saudi Youth & Romance via Cell Phones

No I meant the site itself, not Virus. :)

Re: Saudi Youth & Romance via Cell Phones

Exactly!!! I totally agree with you Light Bearer.

Have you seen some of the Afghani, Iraqi, Irani, saudi women around here and see how they dress or behave as compared to women with other muslim regions? I went to school and were in fact friends with quite a few girls from these places, so i have seen some pretty horrific sights. :bummer:

Re: Saudi Youth & Romance via Cell Phones

Codey yar, well you are right, his intentions were to prevent piracy, of the application he made for the panty-gone... But by definition it was a virus, different from the morris worm or anything that had popped up in those times.

However, its fun to bloat about Basit's achievement and to piss goras off by saying he was the genius who came up with a computer virus ;) I still remember my 500 level operating system class, when the gora professor mentioned his name and asked if there were any students from Pakistan!
