Saudi Arabia has announced it will holds its first nationwide elections starting in November.
Council elections will be held in the capital Riyadh after the Muslim fasting month of Ramadan in mid-November, the official SPA news agency reports.
A second stage will take place in the east and south before the annual Hajj, which begins in January, and the rest of the country will vote after that.
The polls are being seen as a first step towards political reform.
Saudi Arabia - an absolute monarchy - has never had political elections at any level since its creation in 1932.
the saudi regime doing 3 political moves in less than a month that can mean only one thing, either the entire regime has had brain transplants, or 2 the amerikkan regime telling there puppets what to do yet again!

Brain transplant? A good one or a bad one?
ak4: So are these elections good or bad? You have often said its bad that the US support the Saudi regime since they don’t hold elections. Now, they seem to be ready to have multiple elections and you note that it is the amreekans telling the Saudis what to do. Usually, you do this to paint the amreekans as bad and hypocritical.
Are you now asserting that it is bad for the Saudis to hold elections because the US has influenced them to hold elections?
Is it also bad if the US supports the Saudis when they don’t hold elections?
You seem to be a very confused person. Stated differently, you are a “7” short of being an “ak47.”
I'm beginning to think ak47 is actually a pro-America poster that makes ridiculous arguments that are anti-America to allow other pro-America posters to make simple observations and points that counter his posts and thus show America in a good light.
The polls just show who runs Saudi arabia. Its a simple observation anyone outside of the US can see.
As for elections what difference will it make none and zero. Its just a charade to think this ruthless and simple minded monarchy will simply hand down power to the next man.
As for democracy its a shotup system which has been shown to be shallow and the forthcoming US election will show that clearly 2 guys insult each other with media campaigns with hundreds of millions from corporate companies. And who decides what the policy of the country will be is it average person no its companies like chevron, texaco and kellogs who will decide what the country does.
UTD keep up with your observations they make you look more foolish by the day.
