Saudi boy, 4, 'kills father over PlayStation'

Re: Saudi boy, 4, ‘kills father over PlayStation’

Actually you are right. Recently a young boy pulled a gun out from under the drivers seat in his mom’s boyfriends car and shot his sister.

Re: Saudi boy, 4, ‘kills father over PlayStation’

PS or PS2 is not worth killing over … PS3? Now that is a different matter :hehe: … Hey, PlayStation have got a half decent commercial for their product …

If your child is nagging you for a PS3, then buy it, you don’t want to end up like this man … (and then show a coffin).

it sounds true to me, but I think it may have just been an accident and they are over dramatising it.

Re: Saudi boy, 4, 'kills father over PlayStation'

For an average semi auto - atleast 4.4 lbs pressure is required to pull the trigger ... I really wonder if a four years old kid could do that !

Re: Saudi boy, 4, 'kills father over PlayStation'

That is sad and sick.

Re: Saudi boy, 4, 'kills father over PlayStation'

Imagine if this incident had happened in US. There would have been posters all over the place talking about the falling morality of the americans and claiming how bad the place is.
Now that it has happened in KSA, why do you think it happened... :)

Re: Saudi boy, 4, ‘kills father over PlayStation’

no one with little common sense would have criticized falling morality of americans for an action of a four year old…

but who want to defend regular shoot outs in american universities on the basis of action of four year old are exposing their own mentality…:hehe:

Re: Saudi boy, 4, 'kills father over PlayStation'

Why does everything have to turn into an Us vs. Them or East vs. West debate/competition on GS? It is is so irritating. Can we not just mourn this tragedy together and have a healthy discourse on the probabbility of a 4 yr old child handling a guy without mudslinging big, bad Amreeka or stone aged, backward KSA?

Re: Saudi boy, 4, 'kills father over PlayStation'

Wow, my kids don't even know what a playstation is. They think a playstation is a holiday resort.

Re: Saudi boy, 4, ‘kills father over PlayStation’

OMG … How a four years old can use a gun  & it requires alot of courage to use it too.

That is sad between.

Re: Saudi boy, 4, 'kills father over PlayStation'

maybe it has nothing to do with a playstation, it may have been just a tragic accident where the kid managed to fire the gun.

Re: Saudi boy, 4, 'kills father over PlayStation'

saudi kids are spolied by their parents....they start driving at very early age, start smoking, racing with cars n alot of them end up dead or disabled in road accidents...

Re: Saudi boy, 4, ‘kills father over PlayStation’

Yes.They just need a license

:smack:

Violent games should really be banned.
Another 4 year old kid (my sisters’ friends’ son) kept asking his grandfather to hit people on the street with his car 'cuz that’s what he used to do in the game.

This !
Its possible.

:rotfl:
New Add

Yes.they are spoiled ,but this was a 4 year old kid.He didn’t really mean to kill his father. He wouldn’t even understand what death means.

Re: Saudi boy, 4, 'kills father over PlayStation'

^obviously 4 year old didn't knew wht he was doing n wht will be the outcome..i was talking abt the general behaviour of kids here....

Re: Saudi boy, 4, 'kills father over PlayStation'

on no

Re: Saudi boy, 4, 'kills father over PlayStation'

there are plenty of threads about the falling morality of saudis and claims of how bad the place is.
why worry :)

the reason would be the same in both cases, guns should be handled carefully and not left lying around.

and when we think of gun safety its not just about responsible use and storage by people who have them, but responsible policies to determine who gets to have them, and gets to keep them.

Re: Saudi boy, 4, 'kills father over PlayStation'

I wonder if the kid was exposed to violent movies or video games or some life incident where he could have associated a gun with power with getting your way. I don't think a child would really want to kill their parent and my heart goes out to this family.

Re: Saudi boy, 4, ‘kills father over PlayStation’

Unfortunately I dont see a lot of them ..

That said my heart goes to the child. Growing up would be very difficult for the kid. He would be a constant source of ridicule by his peers and would have to carry a load of guilt throughout his his life. I just hope the mom migrates to some place wherein the kid is counselled and is able to grow up in a sane environment
