Tit for Tat!
What a bunch of blarney!!! Americans were being finger printed by Saudi's at the time of getting a visa for the longest time. And submit to oodles of medical tests as well.
this is fair. Do on to others as you'd have them do on to you.
Good. Other targeted Muslim countries should follow suit.
Good..now American companies can sell some more finger printing machines to these guys.:)
Yes CM: also good news for the Indian (EDITED: Referring to Indian Programmers as Wankers is not allowed) in silicon valley so they can keep their jobs through these contract.

What is the ratio of American visitors to Saudi compared to UAE?
Can Pakistan follow what the Saudi's did?

I don't believe that to be the case, in fact far from it. Do you have any facts to prove this point?
sure Pakistan can follow.. but centuries of 'slave mentality' combined with corruption in FIA, you'd find local officials 'filling in' and giving prints on behalf of Gora Sahib who'll as usual shoot pass security escorted by FBI.
I am glad Saudi Arabia is FINALLY waking up and smelling the almost-stale coffee!!! Eye for eye, tooth for tooth!!! Other muslim countries should follow suit and scrutinize Christian-Americans the way these Christian-Americans scrutinize muslims in the US, expecially after the whole 9/11 episode.
Ha ha this rich...

Well, it would be a good move, but the way things are handled at Pakistani immigration, I dont think its practical... Last time I was leaving Pakistan, the FIA officer goes 'bachay goriyoon ki khatir jaa rahe ho yah parhai ke liye?'

I can testify to that first hand!!! I know others who have worked in SA. How many visas does SA issue to non-muslim tourists? NONE. SA will not even accept application for a non-muslim single women to even visit!! One of my relatives in Pakistan was working in SA, and my mother wanter to visit them on her way to Pakistan. She was not accompanied by a male, her visa application was not even accepted. So, puleeeze go get your own facts right.

I did not ask you about visa's for non-Muslims or tourists but about your claim that Americans were being finger printed by Saudi's at the time of getting a visa for the longest time. And submit to oodles of medical tests as well.
Do you stand by that claim? Yes or No. I suggest you research the actual facts clearly before replying.
Americans were never ever finger printed in Saudia and Kuwait (don't know about other states) If this report is true I'd say welcome yanks its the taste of your own medicine. Whats goes around comes around! Don't forget the kingdom (of course a democracy ) is backed by the Americans.
LOL! All things considered, this is so darn funny.
On the other hand, so many of the newly arrested "terrorists wannabes" are American citizens, this thing makes perfect sense.
I am curious, however, what will the Saudis do with all the finger-prints? Do they even have a database of such information? :)

I stand by that claim. I have gotten visa to work in SA and I had to supply my finger prints. I hardly ever disagree with Abdali, but on this one I am sorry I have to simply from personal experience, unless I am suddenly in the OuterLimits. I also had to submit tests for that I was free of TB, HIV negative, etc. etc. And then when you get there, you have to surrender your passport to your employer. I did not have my passport on me for the month that I was there. I have seen how the Saudi's behave towards the Gora americans and towards the Pakistani Americans like myself. So it is a matter of what goes around comes around but not for americans but for the mighty sheiks. Personally I would be in favor of tightening visas for the Saudi's a lot more. The way the behaved on this campus and then talk about their Muttawa in their Kindom. Man talk about hypocrisy!!!
OldLahori,
THis was somethime ago the laws may have changed now but I could not find any reference to finger prints on Saudi site..
