Saudi Arabia: A Trial for Woman Who Drove

Re: Saudi Arabia: A Trial for Woman Who Drove

Pretty much the reasoning I've heard is that they worry that driving women will bring 'fitna' to their society and women will run away from their homes and drive around with boyfriends. The women will become corrupted and leave their homes to indulge in extramarital relations.

They'd rather have young children driving than adult females. :/

Re: Saudi Arabia: A Trial for Woman Who Drove

Thankfully the lashing order has been over turned by the king. Some sanity exists in the Saudi kingdom...

Re: Saudi Arabia: A Trial for Woman Who Drove

very simple who is stopping even today , car driving is another thing :) that is s.arabia nothing can stop them following their pathetic metality against the women .

Re: Saudi Arabia: A Trial for Woman Who Drove

**must have gone to get visa for paris, london or newyork to survey and study if muslims world over are getting their rights in western countries.

Re: Saudi Arabia: A Trial for Woman Who Drove

Actually no. We aren't idiots who side with the gorays due to an inferiority complex.

What France did is wrong. What Saudi Arabia has done is wrong. Violations of basic fundemental human rights are just that. They are unacceptable.

Sadly you wankers look at the skin color of the nation and its leader before you get your morality in check.

Re: Saudi Arabia: A Trial for Woman Who Drove

Is that it? No criticism of the regime?

Re: Saudi Arabia: A Trial for Woman Who Drove

Really? I find that really hard to believe given it's coming from a guy who's against securalism- the only system in the entire world that has proven to protect basic fundamental human rights like no other.

Re: Saudi Arabia: A Trial for Woman Who Drove

some superiority inffected people think if you support any gora even if he is right that is inferiority complex ,it is duty of non whites to oppose whites. these enlightened species consider secularism is mother of all evils.

Re: Saudi Arabia: A Trial for Woman Who Drove

There is no doubt that the screams for human rights are heard only something happens to muslims in the west.. the atrocities in muslim countries (100 times worse than anything in the west) don't receive anywhere near the attention.

Don't like secularism? Get your butt out of the secular country you are mooching off. Seriously. You have no credibility until you do.

Re: Saudi Arabia: A Trial for Woman Who Drove

I agree with the first part of you post.

The bolded part just doesn't make any sense, everyone has a right to criticize a political system within the boundaries of reason, Saudi Royals can say the same thing to people living in Saudi.

Re: Saudi Arabia: A Trial for Woman Who Drove

Yup we can all constructively criticize our political and socisl systems to brig upon reforms. Hats healthy. But I was talkig about folks who are against the idea of secukarism to begin with, but live in secular countries.

Re: Saudi Arabia: A Trial for Woman Who Drove

The Saudi Royals are the most hypocritical peope on the earth. They have one set of rules for their public & another for themselves. They do everything that they won't let their people do in the country.

Re: Saudi Arabia: A Trial for Woman Who Drove

France is prosecuting women for wearing Hijab, Saudi arabia is prosecuting women for driving cars, in the end we can sum up that women is the victim here, France have its own reason and Saudi have it own... and both are wrong..

Re: Saudi Arabia: A Trial for Woman Who Drove

i appreciate your pain, worry for rights of women and wholehearted support for women's liberation whether it is asia or europe .

Re: Saudi Arabia: A Trial for Woman Who Drove

I doubt if any of you have been drove in Saudi. I have and i can tell you, the ban may actually be a blessing in disguise for women. It has the worst drivers on the world out on the roads.

Re: Saudi Arabia: A Trial for Woman Who Drove

And in all other countries where women have equal rights men are abused by fear and favor!

Re: Saudi Arabia: A Trial for Woman Who Drove

No, in other countries like India, women are subject to Saudi+French+Pakistan treatment, where they are subject to parade stark naked and people there consider it normal practice...

Re: Saudi Arabia: A Trial for Woman Who Drove

Stupid is stupid. As they say in the gaming world you can't fix stupid. Frankly get rid of the entire regime and give people the basic right to vote. Democracy is the best revenge to quote a crazy old cur.

Theorist do not confuse democracy and secularism. One is not the other. And secularism really is a great system in France and Swizterland and their bans on religious freedom.

Sharabee I am in Afghanistan. Since when is Afghanistan a secular country. Seriously the ignorance amongst the posters here.

Re: Saudi Arabia: A Trial for Woman Who Drove

you should leave alone france or entire europe , now india +pakistan you are partially correct several cases of violence like mukhtaran mai type happen but people are not insensitive to consider it normal , you may think so because of your mindset , large scale opposition to such backwardness is always seen throughout the subcontinent , culprits always get sentences , only colourblinds can't see it. now india and pakistan both provide women personal freedom to drive cars and ride camel and horse .

Re: Saudi Arabia: A Trial for Woman Who Drove

a little bit of sense of humor will be nice. Why so intense?
