We should have a compromise - allow qadianis to go to SA and Madhani wont say a thing bout SA again..
Plus SA are good for nothing retards but they have every right to be as they want.. why outsiders have a problem with that.. they dont abduct people to come and work there..
*I’d rather be a could-be if I cannot be an are; because a could-be is a maybe who is reaching for a star. I’d rather be a has-been than a might-have-been, by far; for a might have-been has never been, but a has was once an are. Milton Berle *
^But I don’t expect Suroor to get it rolleyes
Btw…isn’t it great to have you writing from personal experience suroor. Rather fictitious I find your explanation. True that KSA may have its downsides, but its not like every other nation on this planet is a heaven either. If you want to live somewhere, you can make it work around your needs and wants, not the other way around. But since you choose being one of those that rather make things not fit you but instead you fit it. In that case, you are one miserable soul, who can’t live the life you wish to live but rather subject yourself to endure the hardship of a culture which does not suits your needs and whims. Quite ghastly do I find such individuals.
yea u know me so well by just few posts eh how pathetic of u to judge me like that but oh well, ur insignificant to me so it really doesnt matter what u think. how intellectually low of u to attack me like that just because u disagree with me. tisk tisk.. FYI, i’ve lived n travelled in middle east for 16 years. so no need to defend something pathetically that doesnt exist miskeen DB. roll eyes.
Dada beta, the first (right to practice religion) is Yes? I am talking about Saudi Arabia and not Luxemberg. I was talking about right, as in to build places of worship for non-muslim. May be I wasn't very clear. Sorry to have caused you so much confusion.
now isnt this stupid, but then again, the question of not letting them drive is not objectionable, they are trying to control vice, which madhanee fails to understand, or perhaps madhanee u want to see them araboobs drive around in convertibles wih their hair flowing in the wind which will definitely increase the rape %…!
They have more important issues to address than stupid driving objections…
I think the question of stopping you from talking, typing or otherwise expressing your opinion is not objectionable. We are trying to control the blood pressure…
You are so right. Almost every foreign worker in Saudi Arabia has lashing marks on his arse. They just can’t resist watching Bollywood movies, and when get caught, get 10 lashes every time. This one particular person was so scared of going around anywhere without his “haqama” [sic] that he had tatooed it on his right ass cheek. He lifts his taub to show it to the religious police every time they stop him. They usually let him go. The expiration date is fast approaching, and he is trying to figure out a good way to get the tattoo modified cheaply. They don’t pay him enough, either. Poor bugger.
Sorry for the late come back. Madhanee you are too presumptuous. I never said that there was a lady at the immigration that greeted me at the airport. Worth dying for?? I suppose you were trying to be funny here?? The point I was making was that there is a bit of change in the air.
Your pun about the people working for Aramco and other companies is ill-conceived. For a Pakistani or an Indian to be working in Aramco, he HAS to be much better than his American/British or Arab equal. Kids get spoilt because of the lack of attention from parents and not because their parents are in Middle East or working for a specific company.
No! I am not working for Aramco. A WitchDr is not the same as a Witch. And I have corrected one of your grammatical mistakes.
^hehehehe… so the truth of the matter really is quite simple, the Buddions had you hired as a camel tender. You were to look after their herd of camels and climbing palm trees in scorching sun to harvest the dates, but alas u got distracted by the beauties of the tribe and flirted with themHARAMHARAM for that they reported you to the authorities for which you got lashed and deported back to wherever u came from. Hence: the bitter feelings and your question,” If a foreigner can marry a Saudi woman?!” The trauma still haunts you to this day. Awww…how shad
ps. Can u post up the pics. FYI: ur story was around the KSA dunes for a long time, they’ve also taken a pic of you which was stamped on a post card. Lemme rummage my gear to put up for guppies to see how much ordeal u underwent u poor old putty tat
Well! Madhanee, sorry to say but your way of generalizing things is inappropriate. Because of the nature of the job, field people in the petroleum industry get to visit those places where few people have access or the need to go.
Why can’t you write anything without being insulting?
Man oh Man u guys really just were tending the camels or pulling weeds outta the grass there were you now
Did you skipped the beach inside the kumpaaond? Or did you overlooked that Tower which sticks out on the ourskirts of the beach…the blue water surrounding it. Humpf!
ps. Sometimes man-made beauty is worth seeing too. Esp’ when it took the expats to create the entire industrialized look …imagine how much the poor laborers must’ve gone thru to complete that town. Not minding the blazing sizzling heat or the chilly gusty winds of the ocean in the winter. When u think of all that… beauty is everywhere in Saudia. It was a desert to begin (eastern Province) with…err with an exeption of a few Oasis.
DB: Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Some eyes can't see properly.
Al-Khobar and Dammam have expanded a lot since I was here last time. It took me 45 minutes to come from the airport to Al-Khobar. I remember last time it didn't use to take that long.
This time around, I have seen plenty of Saudi people working in my company. Last time there was only one! Going to Bahrain on weekends is the obsession here. Things have opened here by the opening up of the Bahrain-Dammam bridge.
Orbit Satellite Network is airing plenty of uncensored channels in Saudi although it is not allowed in many other ME countries.
After a long long time, I savoured a delicious Nihari in one of the Pakistani resturants in the city. Despite the regulations, many people like to work here. A very vocal French friend of mine was surprised to see the infrastructure in Saudi and was telling me that it is not what he had expected.
Al-Khobar now looks like any big US city, like Houston (without the green patches, though). Road structures are very similar to US.
