Re: Sattu
What's sattu?
Re: Sattu
I love sattu. Haven't had sattu in a looooong time.
shukar, not guR. Add shukar to water and add ice. When ice is melt down and water is really chilly, add sattu and stir few times and drink up. Don't stir too much. Sattu is served best when they are half blended in.
Shahreen, sattu is wheat husk.
Re: Sattu
it sounds horrid!
Re: Sattu
oh yea...shakr. but i'm out of shakr. i have these chunks of gur though. my mom was saying i should just dissolve in some water. can i do that?
and also, is the ratio to shakr and sattu 1:1?
Re: Sattu
Khumar, no, usually you'd more sattu than shakar. But it's really something that varies from person to person. There is no optimal ration per se.
Shakar is crushed guR. So yeh you can use guR.
Ms daisy vaisy, that was such a cultural slur (if there is such a thing). I'm hurt. :(
Re: Sattu
I used to have sattu like weetabix in my poor days at my uncles house.
