Does anyone use any satellite radio like XM or Sirius? I was thinking of getting it but not sure which one to get. Also, is the service portable internationally? On their site they, ofcourse, say that its not.
Re: Satellite Radio inquiry
I don't have either, but have used XM a lot, when I am getting rental cars in other cities. Sirius seems to have more exclusive content than XM. Although XM has far more subscribers because it launched earlier and hooked up with corporate alliances before Sirius. Not sure about international portability.
Re: Satellite Radio inquiry
didn't activate my car's built in XM cuz i seriously don't find the quality that superior to a powerful stereo FM trasmission.. i guess it might help if you're outside city limits a lot..
Re: Satellite Radio inquiry
I liked XM (or satellite radio) purely bcz its commercial-free. With regular AM/FM radio, I swear sometimes it feels that there are longer commercial breaks than the actual content... be it news, talk radio, sports or music.
Re: Satellite Radio inquiry
^^ That's the whole reason I would like to get that. Plus the fact that content doesn't change from one location to the next. With FM there's commercials and if u travel you have to constantly keep looking for the right radio stations in the new place. Quite frustrating.
