satan - an open enemy....

this is taken from the signature of a guppie…

i kind of felt that it hints somehow that satan is a hidden enemy…
but i dont think that Islam portrays satan as one…

Quran has repeated on seven different occasions that satan is an open enemy of the believers…
please see verses 2:168, 2:208, 6:142, 7:22, 12:5, 36:60, 43:62…

just making a point, nothing serious…

Is it so hard to get that God IS Satan he just didn't want to take responsibility for your wrong doings and came up with the idea of Satan and you know what, the worse part is that you fell for it. What a tragedy.

It's ok.

I get what you are trying to say, it's just that when compared with the rest, it gets portrayed as one.

neither God nor Satan r responsible for ur wrong doings....
its u urself....
if u think God has said that satan is responsible for our wrong doings or that Islam (or any other religion prescribed by Allah) tells u this then u have just been reading the wrong books....

Satan is our open enemy and he has sworn to mislead us and lead us astray from the straight path. An evil spirit created from fire. Iblis refused to worship Adam because he considered him an inferior being, created from mud rather than fire. For this he was expelled from Paradise and forced to roam the earth until Judgement Day tempting humans to do evil.

Allah's Apostle said, "Satan puts three knots at the back of the head of any of you if he is asleep. On every knot he reads and exhales the following words, 'The night is long, so stay asleep.' When one wakes up and remembers Allah, one knot is undone; and when one performs ablution, the second knot is undone, and when one prays the third knot is undone and one gets up energetic with a good heart in the morning; otherwise one gets up lazy and with a mischievous heart."
(Sahih Bukhari 2.243)

Dear Friends

Some verses of QURAN about Satan (Shaytan) are pasted here for your brainstorming, if you are a true GOD believer and desire that the "Chief Deceiver" should not deceive you about ALLAH. Then get alert about the companionship, suggestions, assaults, promises, threats, handworks, plans, footsteps of Satan (Shaytan) and Party of the Evil.

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.

Az-Zukhruf (The Gold Adornments) [43:36]
If anyone withdraws himself from remembrance of ((Allah)) Most Gracious, We appoint for him an evil one, to be an intimate companion to him.

Al-A'raf (The Heights) [7:200]
If a suggestion from Satan assail thy (mind), seek refuge with Allah. for He heareth and knoweth (all things).

Al-A'raf (The Heights) [7:201]
Those who fear Allah, when a thought of evil from Satan assaults them, bring Allah to remembrance, when lo! they see (aright)!

An-Nisa (The Women) [4:120]
Satan makes them promises, and creates in them false desires; but satan's promises are nothing but deception.

Al-Baqara (The Cow) [2:268]
The Evil one threatens you with poverty and bids you to conduct unseemly. Allah promiseth you His forgiveness and bounties. And Allah careth for all and He knoweth all things.

Al-Isra (The Journey by Night) [17:27]
Verily spendthrifts are brothers of the Evil Ones; and the Evil One is to his Lord (himself) ungrateful.

An-Nisa (The Women) [4:38]
Not those who spend of their substance, to be seen of men, but have no faith in Allah and the Last Day: If any take the Evil One for their intimate, what a dreadful intimate he is!

An-Nisa (The Women) [4:76]
Those who believe fight in the cause of Allah, and those who reject Faith Fight in the cause of Evil: So fight ye against the friends of Satan: feeble indeed is the cunning of Satan.

An-Nisa (The Women) [4:60]
Hast thou not turned Thy vision to those who declare that they believe in the revelations that have come to thee and to those before thee? Their (real) wish is to resort together for judgment (in their disputes) to the Evil One, though they were ordered to reject him.
But Satan's wish is to lead them astray far away (from the right).

Al-Mujadilah (The Disputation) [58:19]
The Evil One has got the better of them: so he has made them lose the remembrance of Allah. They are the Party of the Evil One. Truly, it is the Party of the Evil One that will perish!

Al-Ma'idah (The Table Spread) [5:90]
O ye who believe! Intoxicants and gambling, (dedication of) stones, and (divination by) arrows, are an abomination,- of Satan's handwork: eschew such (abomination), that ye may prosper.

Al-Ma'idah (The Table Spread) [5:91]
Satan's plan is (but) to excite enmity and hatred between you, with intoxicants and gambling, and hinder you from the remembrance of Allah, and from prayer: will ye not then abstain?

Al-A'raf (The Heights) [7:175]
Relate to them the story of the man to whom We sent Our signs, but he passed them by: so Satan followed him up, and he went astray.

Al-Hajj (The Pilgrimage) [22:52]
Never did We send an apostle or a prophet before thee, but, when he framed a desire, Satan threw some (vanity) into his desire: but Allah will cancel anything (vain) that Satan throws in, and Allah will confirm (and establish) His Signs: for Allah is full of Knowledge and Wisdom:

Al-Hajj (The Pilgrimage) [22:53]
That He may make the suggestions thrown in by Satan, but a trial for those in whose hearts is a disease and who are hardened of heart: verily the wrong-doers are in a schism far (from the Truth):

Muhammad [47:25]
Those who turn back as apostates after Guidance was clearly shown to them,- the Evil One has instigated them and busied them up with false hopes.

Al-Anfal (The Spoils of War) [8:48]
Remember Satan made their (sinful) acts seem alluring to them, and said: "No one among men can overcome you this day, while I am near to you": But when the two forces came in sight of each other, he turned on his heels, and said: "Lo! I am clear of you; lo! I see what ye see not; Lo! I fear Allah. for Allah is strict in punishment."

Ya-Sin (Ya-Sin) [36:60]
"Did I not enjoin on you, O ye Children of Adam, that ye should not worship Satan; for that he was to you an enemy avowed?-

Ibrahim (Abraham) [14:22]
And Satan will say when the matter is decided: "It was Allah Who gave you a promise of Truth: I too promised, but I failed in my promise to you. I had no authority over you except to call you but ye listened to me: then reproach not me, but reproach your own souls. I cannot listen to your cries, nor can ye listen to mine. I reject your former act in associating me with Allah. For wrong-doers there must be a grievous penalty."

Al-Furqan (The Criterion) [25:29]
"He did lead me astray from the Message (of Allah. after it had come to me! Ah! the Evil One is but a traitor to man!"

An-Nahl (The Bee) [16:63]
By Allah, We (also) sent (Our apostles) to Peoples before thee; but Satan made, (to the wicked), their own acts seem alluring: He is also their patron today, but they shall have a most grievous penalty.

Fatir (The Originator of Creation) [35:6]
Verily Satan is an enemy to you: so treat him as an enemy. He only invites his adherents, that they may become Companions of the Blazing Fire.

Al-A'raf (The Heights) [7:27]
O ye Children of Adam! Let not Satan seduce you, in the same manner as He got your parents out of the Garden, stripping them of their raiment, to expose their shame: for he and his tribe watch you from a position where ye cannot see them: We made the evil ones friends (only) to those without faith.

Al-Baqara (The Cow) [2:208]
O ye who believe! Enter into Islam whole-heartedly; and follow not the footsteps of the evil one; for he is to you an avowed enemy.

Al-Nour (The Light) [24:21]
O ye who believe! follow not Satan's footsteps: if any will follow the footsteps of Satan, he will (but) command what is shameful and wrong: and were it not for the grace and mercy of Allah on you, not one of you would ever have been pure: but Allah doth purify whom He
pleases: and Allah is One Who hears and knows (all things).

Al-Hajj (The Pilgrimage) [22:3]
And yet among men there are such as dispute about Allah, without knowledge, and follow every evil one obstinate in rebellion!

Al-Isra (The Journey by Night) [17:53]
Say to My servants that they should (only) say those things that are best: for Satan doth sow dissensions among them: For Satan is to man an avowed enemy.

With best regards
