I was wondering if anyone knows wat is the sarri style now-a-days? Wats in and wats not.

I have only seen the normal styles.
1. Just drape over one shoulder without pinning it up,
2. Drape over the shoulder but gather it nicely and neatly, or
3. THe gujrati style where the pallu is brought forward and pinned.

Last year when i was in pak and got some saris made, teh darzi said that long pallus were in fashion so he made all my pallus really long. That give me the choice of either wearing it normally (like 1 and 2) or wearing it the gujrati style if i wanted to).

For gujrati style the pleats face the other way :) along with the pallu being brought forward from the back.

^ Oh wow i d idnt know that!! I got all my saris sewed so means i cant wear it gujrati style? :( Although if i wear it will the non sari wearers be able to tell?

its all about the silky sarees…nobody wears the thick kind anymore..and the more variety of colors you wear, the better(choose colors that go well together)…but don’t go overboard with wayyyy too many diff colors…you will look like a clown…here are some examples:
