What a joke? Do you’ll know that the film “Sarfarosh” is a very big hit in Pakistan. It’s being shown illegaly in some Karachi theaters and is being one of the most popular movie of 1999 to rented ( of course pirated copies).

Weird.....no one i know has seen or loved it!! But then....my social circle might not be very vast :)
I have seen a pirated version ..
and I thought it was rubbish !!
It was also biased against Pakistan..

Sarfarosh is popular in Karachi because:
1. SONALI BENDRE - She is the number one reason.
2. The film has reference to MOHAJIRS issue.
3. MUSIC is good.
4. Many would relate to Karachi violence. Violence scenes are well depicted.
I have seen it in Lahore.

Sexmaniac has infact raised a very valid point. If Indian movies are banned in Pakistan, and a movie like Sarfarosh, with an anti-Pak. theme can run packed houses in Lahore and Karachi , it is quite a shameful thing.
I'm a second generation US citizen and my origin is from India,but I am as muslim as you are but more liberal.I was just joking with regard to my profile and if I offended anybody by my posts, i'm sorry,i was just trying to have some fun.but i think whether pakistanis should watch indian movies or not is a very valid question.

my parents- born in Pakistan,
grandparents-not sure which of them, but some indian moved during partition. Just b/c pakistan is in a fight over land with india doesn't mean that pakis shouldn't watch the films. anyway it was all one country at one time. so sarafrosh is biast against pakistan, don't haven't seen it but then those who are offended don't watch it. simple as that
