yea dear..its kind of civil marriage here in uk..and must be done before the islamic nikkah..usually its held in thre registry office....or where u register ur marriage infront of the officers and witness.... most ppl wear white stuff...as its the gora wedding colour..and its more like a trend here..regardless whtever religion or country ur from..but obviously ur nt forced to wear that colour.....
its a really big day for me!! as only men r gng to attend the islamic nikkah
Catty, its not a must because the nikkha-nama is valid here in UK and can be accepted everywhere to prove that you are married! We didnt have a civil marriage as Hafiz uncle told us its not necessary at all. I feel desis just do for the sake of it - another reason for a celebration!

Kareenas sari would have looked good with either just the flower patters or the thick border.

I think the real Chunri is where they tie the material up with a thread at several places and its all scrunched up

i wore this to a lunch today..i couldnt get a full picture..but absolutely love the sari…its a two toned (white and pink)chiffon sari with dimonties work all over…and a pink silk embosed blouse.
