So what is the best jewelery to wear with a saree? I was planning on wearing my moms raani haar wiht my banarsi sari (for a wedding) but since ammi's in Pakistan (and thsu her jewelery) now, Im not sure what else I can pull off...would smaller sets look OK? Sooner or later I guess i wll hav to try stuff on :)

i think a smaller set should look just fine, sara. especially since its a banarsi sari and they tend to be quite heavy on their own, no? you could forgo the necklace entirely and just do really nice chandelier-style earrings plus a nice hair 'do.

err not actually banarsi but banarsi print on chiffon fabric... I think I posted it somewhere...

wear something heavy in neck like choker with nothing in ears ( esp with first one)
-or- wear too heavy earings only , nothing in neck (esp with the second one)
- don't wear rani haar it will make u look gaudy
- u need to emphasize on yr hairstyle , will add on a lot on yr over all look
- don't forget to wear high or pencil heels
