Hi guys, I recently purchased a saree and I just bought it out of impulse! Albiet its really beautiful - I am just confused about the design.
The entire saree has sequence design all over it however, closer to the shoulder area there is a really nice design with jari , zardosi, etc. I thought it was supposed to go across the chest but when its across the chest, the pallu looks too short. So I think the design goes over the shoulder (the design goes in a “V”).
Do any of you have sarees like this one? Post some pics if you find any on the internet!
I think you are talking about a butterfly palu? The material narrows where it sits on the shoulder and then opens up as the palu falls? If thats what you mean, then yes that area goes on the shoulder, not across the chest
