Saree stitching

Anybody here has any experience of getting sarees stictched by themselves ? Its hard to find good casual kind of sarees here , so I thought may be I could get the fabric and get it done myself ? How much fabric is required for a saree ?

I have these two in my mind . If not same , then atleast something similiar to this . Its cotton and silk mixed Fabric . Where can I find such fabric ?

You need 6 yards of fabric to make a sari.
While some people still get borders and stitch them onto fabric to make their own design, you're very likely to find something like these ready-made.
