Saree feedback....

My uncle bought two sarees from India when I was in PK…so my mom sent one of the saree’s to my cousin as a gift and there is still one left. I want feedback as to whether I should get it stitched or just let someone else have it…cuz i am not sure if it looks good or not…i am 50/50 cuz i think that when it gets stitched it might look better than what I am thinking of it…so tell me keep it or leave it…i wanted to wear it for Eid..if i keep it.

holding palu out…

the basic design of the saree all around is the same…its kinda simple…but i am wondering if the kaam on it looks good or no…it just seemed a bit different from the saree’s i have seen…on drama’s and such…give feedback..

Re: Saree feedback....

The colors r nice but the designing is just blah... i dont like it

Re: Saree feedback....

ya thats what i think too....thats why i was confused on if i should take it or leave it...saree's in India are nice but its hard when u have to order from someone else...

Re: Saree feedback....

oo the sari is nice. it's simple for every day/small party wear. get a top sewn of the green in the sari. it would look really nice.

Re: Saree feedback…

the colors are really nice… the saree also does not look too heavy… is it chiffon? … wouldnt be bad to wear it on eid… from the pic, it seems that it would have a nice fall… light and easy to handle

Re: Saree feedback....

Yeah the colour is lovely. what material is it? chiffon or silk? whats the kaam like? Has the blouse got any kaam on it? have the blouse sleeveless if you can- and the back - deep neck. It will look nice & elegant ..

Re: Saree feedback....

It's definitely different -- and nice. It depends on whether the look suits you I guess. It wouldn't work on me.

Re: Saree feedback....

If it had a border it would have looked nicer. I can;t figure out if that is sequin work on the sari or if its just embossed or glued or something. You could get a fancy/stylish blouse to take it a notch higher and dress it up with jewelry. It can look good depending upon how you wear it.

Re: Saree feedback....

yeah try wearing it with a turquoise blouse with the cream colour sequined lace....some kind of contrast would bring out the turquoise in the sari...

Re: Saree feedback....

Everything is nice xcept hte design :(

Re: Saree feedback....

yes get a turquoise blouse with it ..its simple n decent :)

Re: Saree feedback....

well the blouse is yellow....

Re: Saree feedback....

too bland...like in that color u cud find gorgeous sarees.

Re: Saree feedback…

these are some examples…(the closest to ur colours i could find)…i think u should make the blouse urself…it woudl look ten times better…

Re: Saree feedback....

^thez sarees r much mre "bharee" n elegant
that one lookss too...i dunnnooo

Re: Saree feedback....

i like silk n chiffon sarrees rest i dont like

so can u guys upload some really nice saarees

Re: Saree feedback....

lifeless...i was referring to the colour combos and how it would look like with a blue blouse...if pyari got a blouse that had all the blue sitara kaam and had the right accessories and shoes, the whole outfit would look nice....a sari only looks nice if a person can carry it off...could be the most beautiful sari in the world, but if the person doesnt look "right" and doenst coordinate the rest of her accessories, and the way she carries herself in the sari, the whole effect would such....but on the other hand, the sari coudl be the most plainest in the world, but with the right accessories, look and how well she carries herself in the sari, she woudl look beautiful.....

Re: Saree feedback....

tru..."a saree only looks nice if a person can carry it off"

Re: Saree feedback....

Yu're right! but i just cant get xcitd abt the actual design/kaam.. its just eh..nothing great :(

Re: Saree feedback....

Why dont you get a shalwar suit stitched out of it??

Like have most of the pallu as your duppatta and use the lesss kaam part as your kameez with a torquoise shalwar/pajama??

It'd look good.

Keept he shirt short and you might have to wear a shameez underneath but it'd look great.

I wouldnt wear that as a sari mostly because the colors are nice but more for elderly people.
