He’s supposed to have been releasing it soon, but the dates kept on being pushed back.
Rumor is that he’s backed out of it?
Does anyone have any information about this movie - it seemed people were very excited about it. Had they even filmed the entire thing, or left it in the middle of production?

Saqib Malik is a genius....he made the amazing Khamaj, Na Re Na and Behti Naar....his film HAS to be amazing. His recent "dekha" viideo is brilliant too....the way he's handled all the 3 sequences is amazing for a Pakistani director working w ith a Pakistani DOP.....a great job indeed.

^^ Bigdeal. You'll probably find the concept of the golden era film stars falling in love in Spanish cinema too...infact i think Cinema Paradiso uses a similar storyline as well. Its a pretty universal theme.

Saqib Malik is one of the most sensible and respected video director in Pak. He was educated at the right schools, he actually has a decent background, and that reflects in his work too. I would totally go with his judgement as far as selecting the scripts n actors is concerned. The original line up of shaan, ali zafar and tooba was extremely exciting, its sad the film never went on floors.

I still bow down every time I watch "Na Re Na" (Ali Azmat) by Saquib Malik, but recently he was describing his film on some talkshow and I was having doubts too. Plus its true, the new Ali Zafar Lux video is well shot, directed and edited, but there are some mixups. It's all cool, but he copuld've kept it generic, esp the Jack Sparrow bit...is Jack Sparrow all the world has know of pirates...?
