Freedom to voice your “words” should come with an understanding of responsibility; some members fail to wear the golden drape of modesty, decline to impose ethical limits, start spewing vulgarity and many among others who on their own may not start an unethical thread would rush to participate without realizing that they are encouraging the poster and setting a trend of coarseness.
Is there a sanity check on the text, is it not the job of moderators of the forum to impose the sanity check even if there is no documented check. We must remember that condoned obscenity becomes privilege and adopted as a right.
There is a "report bad post" button next to every post. Its not only job of moderator (as they cannot be on 24/7 or can read every post) but of memberes too, to report bad posts.
Well said Intelliphant. Quite often people seem to get carried away, and may resort to a tone that is unethical and serves to be counterproductive. The only check in place is as good as one’s objection. When one sees something that does not seem fit for a broad-based community such as GupShup, it then becomes a mutual responsibility of those who are members as well as the caretakers to keep it healthy, just as responsible citizens.
This forum is a platform for all of us to get our ideas across, draw attention to vital issues world-wide while maintaining a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. So, we must do all we can to ensure that we do not take this opportunity as granted. As Br. TLK pointed, please use the report button whenever you witness something that seems unethical because that will render your job (as a caring and responsible member) done and the next person responsible can take appropriate steps.

Life and relationship is normally a "wailing wall" to shed the ordure of absurdity, posters are enticed into a honey pot of melodramatic punch lines to speak about the unspoken smutty, most of times the initiator of these posts are new, they disappear after punching one blow just like a devil in the dark, never heard and never seen again.
I do agree teggy, however like charity modesty starts from your own home, and home in this case is the skeleton of your own bones that houses the soul of conscience, only a pure has an induced courage to stand against the forces of impurity.

Thanks TLK for the information, the purpose of this thread was neither to finger point any particular individual, nor to be cynical about the role of moderators, the sole purpose was to raise a "red flag" that reads, "this is happening guys", and happening more than it happened before.

Intelliphant, are you a writer? I am very impressed by your writing style and choice of words.
Me too , I am impressed and confused , I had to google many words used by her to understand the meaning of her musings . Some of the words were not in dictionary even.
She will one day be a Nobel prize winner writer , I tried to read a couple of books which won the Nobel prize , but had to put them down after going though a couple of pages.
