Nah lets not blame the channel for our own ignorance and apathy towards it. I started watching PTV a while ago and there is a marked difference between the programs and those churned out by the private channels with their sole focus on ratings. On and off I have caught some discussion programs actually bringing to good use the intellect of people like Dr. Mehdi Hasan, Dr. Mubarak ali, Raza Kazim and the likes and where else can you find something as brilliant and informative like Khiraj e Tehseen. PTV still has stuff to offer only we have become so used to glitz and glamour that its seemingly drab content doesn't make for a ready stop while channel surfing.

^ Agree. We have developed a kind of bias for PTV. Even today, its producing quality programs besides airing crap to fill the time slot, which is also the case with other channels.
In recent past PTV has telecasted some good dramas including Kalmoohi, Sheela Bagh, Intezaar, Hawa Rait aur Aangan, which can compete with other dramas from private channels.
