Re: Sania Mirza bridal outfits: would you ever do this
It's her mother tikka so it's sweet that she wants to wear it for the important events in her life. I have my ami's chandbali that i wear every chance i get.
Re: Sania Mirza bridal outfits: would you ever do this
perhaps the girl is seriously not into makeup/fashion and doesn't care what the world thinks ...
novel concept i know ... not caring about opinions of strangers ... but oh so liberating ... no?
Re: Sania Mirza bridal outfits: would you ever do this
yeah i think it was her grandmothers heirloom jewelry that she wore, im not sure about the choker but definitely the teeka has been passed down, so that is why she wore it again...the dulhan has to wear it on her wedding day i guess...
i mean its not like she doesn't have money to afford another one?
Re: Sania Mirza bridal outfits: would you ever do this
i don't think there is anything wrong with it. we all know that she is not being cheap or anything by doing this. she just wants to wear the family jewelry. she is from hyderabad india. i think people from there are big on heirloom.
Re: Sania Mirza bridal outfits: would you ever do this
Her wedding, her choice. Maybe she is not too keen on these things and i guess its ok even though she may be a celeb but nothing should come b4 yr personal choice. As for her sister wearing her engagement dress, well now i know what i was finding familiar when i saw her lol. Maybe they didnt have enough time to pick an outfit? lol i dont know. I wuold personally not do this but then like i have said before its her wedding not mine so she gets it her way.
Re: Sania Mirza bridal outfits: would you ever do this
horrible dressing and make up...i mean she s a star so no problem with the money and they spent 50 to 60 lacs only in reception in sailkot so what s the problem with her?she took her make artist from india and he stayed here this whole week only for her make up but horrible make up..even her pores were so much prominent on her skin after using blusher on her face dont know what type of this make up artist...i think she should go for pakistani make up artist and fashion desighner.i looked her walima dresse she looked so chubby dont know who desighn these horrible dresses?i think its walima and reception fuction in pakistan so shoaib should convance her to hire make up artist and dress desighner here in lahore...

This is the link for cusin’s pic:
She could have perhaps called Rani emaan or some other Pakistani designer, Sara Taseer For jewellery and she would look way better. But she lacks taste. Same jewellery, Beige-maroon combination for two functions, Pink on mehndi, pink and gray on sangeet, gray on walima. WOW!
Though the make up looked better on the last function, at last some Pakistani flavor.
why are people assuming she's got loads of money? are her family rich? coz tennis players aren't, especially ones that aren't particularly amazing.
She has money, that is not earned as a tennis player. She has been brand ambassador for products and once, in a financial year, she earned more then any sports player in India, exceeding Tendulkar.
@Gaia: cool to see someone else from the burgh here:D. I live in shady side, how about yourself?
for me the tackiest thing is having your sister/cousin wear your ex engagement dress. that is plain WRONG. and i am very disappointed that she refused to wear a Pakistani designer on her two valimas. in terms of the makeup, shahzad raza would have done a much better job then the indian makeup artist that she brought along.
nevertheless, I think she look her best during the sialkot valima

huh ok. i didn't think she would have earned much money from b*****ng given her low seeding. but then i guess she has a huge impact in the indian subcontinent region.
i personally think its awesome that she stayed true to her wants and desires and didn't succumb to people's expectations for an all out celebrity wedding look. what a great example to set for other girls out there in both india and pakistan who are so under this spell of designer lehngas and the so-called makeup artists that rule pakistan these days. i mean her doing this basically says that its OK to wear the same thing more than once, its OK to share outfits with sisters/cousins, its OK to wear a wedding outfit that wasn't designed by HSY. i'm so impressed. and i respect her a million times more now and can totally understand why shoaib malik ditched all the materialistic girls he could've had in pakistan to marry this indian one. i mean, out of all the models, actresses, athletes in pakistan i think its hard to find someone so real/down to earth like this.
p.s. obviously i dont know these people personally so i can only judge by what i see on tv. i'm sure she paid her indian designers and artists millions for whatever services they provided but atleast she got what SHE wanted not what others would 've preferred for her.
