Another interesting news: Shoaib and Sania may already be married. April 15th is just the reception ceremony, and there are rumors that the Nikah has already taken place in Dubai.

KARACHI: Members and officials of the Pakistan cricket team that toured India in 2005 and attended a dinner hosted by the Siddiqui family in Hyderabad have said they had never been introduced to any girl named Ayesha Siddiqui as Shoaib Malik’s wife.
Former Test cricketer, Salim Altaf who was the manager of the team on that tour, said they had gone to attend the reception on the request of Shoaib Malik.
“Malik had told us that the Siddiqui’s were his future in-laws and the parents of the girl he intended to marry soon,” Altaf said.
“We went because of Malik but we never met anyone introduced to us as Ayesha Siddiqui,” he said.
Pakistani opener, Imran Nazir also rejected claims by Ayesha that she had spoken to him over telephone and been introduced to him as Malik’s wife.
“I don’t know why she has given this statement. Malik is my close friend but I never spoke to his fiance over phone,” Nazir said.
“What she has said about me is absolutely wrong,” he added.
All-rounder Abdul Razzaq said that he went to Siddiqui’s home in the city for the reception during 2005 tour, but he or the players never met any girl named Ayesha.
He maintained that the players met with Ayesha’s mother and father but Ayesha was not at the home.
Malik had maintained that during his visit to the Siddiqui’s home, he was told that Ayesha was not present while Ayesha claimed she was told by Malik himself that not to come out in front of his teammates as she has become fatty and would embarrass him.

Karachi, Apr 6: Even as the Indian media reports with near certainty that the Hyderabad police has enough information to nail the Shoaib Malik in connection with cheating and harassment cases filed against him, the Pakistani cricketer’s colleague Rashid Latif has come to rescue of Malik.
Rashid has revealed that the woman that Malik saw and fell in love with on the internet was not the Ayesha Siddiqui being shown on the television now.
The cricketer said that he he had seen the photographs of the girl with whom Shoaib used to chat with online.
Speaking to a private news channel, Rashid said, “Shoaib Malik used to borrow my laptop for chatting with a girl and he did show me a few pictures of her. I can assure you that the girl I saw in pictures is not the one on TV these days.”
“I can go to any forum including a court of law to reiterate my statement, and I appeal to all cricketers to stand by Shoaib Malik on this issue,” he added.
The former Pakistan captain has also urged other team members to come out in support of Malik, who face criminal charges on the FIR filed by Ayesha.
Ayesha claims that Malik married her over the phone in 2002. According to her, Shoiab dumped her over her weight issues.
Defending himself, Shoaib says that he was one who was cheated as the photos of the girl sent to him were that of another lady.
This controversy came to the forefront as the Pakistani all-rounder and Indian tennis ace Sania Mirza are set to get married on Apr 15 in Hyderabad.
What an insult. How come the Pakistani press isn’t making a huge issue out of this?? Like they’re irresponsible kids who need a Federal Minister looking after their household matters. What a batameez minister.

ayesha was more than happy to provide pictures of them together to the media in order prove their relationship. now there is no reason for him to conceal the pictures she has sent him.
his position is fundamentally idiotic and either he is trying to hide from something or he is exceedingly stupid.

ya he was made a fool of.. but he got nikkahfied to ayesha siddiqui.... but she signed it as maha siddiqui,. ayesha siddiqui is no one. no where. when ayesha siddiqui doesnt exists how can he divorce her. he was cheated.
i think he should just show pics of that girl. so that girl can come up and tell the truth. i dont think her marriage will be in trouble... its not her fault her pics were misused by this woman!

Ayesha was at every event, every school event. every Ramadan party, every concert..and i’ve known her since she was 11..she has NEVER been thin. She weighed 136kg’s in 2002 (same year she claims to be married) her vision according to her was minus 16.

'Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Malik is reported to have divorced an Indian woman, ahead of his planned marriage to Indian tennis star Sania Mirza.
Imran Qadri, a community elder in the Indian city of Hyderabad, said Malik divorced Ayesha Siddiqui on Wednesday. The Siddiqui family have now withdrawn a police complaint against Malik over his plans to wed Mirza, Mr Qadri said.
There was no immediate comment from Malik or Mirza. He had accused the Siddiqui family of deceiving him. He also alleged that the marriage certificate presented by the family had been a fake.
On Monday, city police questioned Malik after Ayesha Siddiqui said she was already married to him. They seized his passport and told him to stay in India until they had investigated the matter. The unusual cross-border romance has captivated the people of India and Pakistan, long-time rivals.
‘Honourable exit’
Wednesday saw a continuation of the drama that is gripping the southern Indian city. Imran Qadri told reporters that after prolonged deliberations between the two families and community elders, Malik had granted a divorce to Ayesha Siddiqui, thus admitting that he had married her.
“It has been an honourable exit for both sides,” Mr Qadri said.
Ayesha Siddiqui’s mother, Farisa, said: “Justice has been done. Ayesha is relieved and very happy.”
Malik is in Hyderabad, where both women live, ahead of his wedding to Sania Mirza which is planned for 15 April. In recent newspaper interviews, he admitted that he had developed a friendship over the internet with an Indian woman eight years ago and then married her over the telephone after they exchanged photographs. But he says he eventually discovered that the photographs sent to him were of someone else.
“I was made to believe the girl in the photograph was the one I was speaking to,” he said in a statement. “The truth is, I haven’t, to this day, met the girl in the photographs Ayesha sent me.”

Am pretty sure nikah done by deception isn’t valid Islamically anyway (it’s even haram to wear coloured contact lenses if ur intention is to decieve a ‘potential’ into thinking you have different coloured eyes let alone pretend to be a completely different more attractive person).. imo by divorcing her he is prob just covering himself to be on the safe side so he can get on and marry Sania without risking an even bigger mess..
