when one reads the original story or watches the video interview of the guy who organized the "compromise", it becomes obvious that Malik is still sticking to his story. this "divorce" is to just wrap up the mess. he divorced the same girl he married - which is still not the fat beech you see on TV.

no body got paid 15 cr. she got a nominal amount of 15 thousand over 6 months and most importantly "Justice".
soiab flip flopped a lot. first he said he dont know her then she gave a reference of an interview were he said that he knows her. then he said he never married her, then she provided nikhnama so he admitted marrying her but said he never met her.
then she provided prooof of their meeting so he admitted meeting her but said he thought she was some one else.
all this time she only wanted him to accept that she is her wife and give her divorce before marrying sania. i think her demand was very fair and in the end he had to do it.
had he done it in the beginning then he could have avoided all the bad reputation he earned.
He could have gotton away with second marrige but could have gone in for 7 years for fraud and lot a chance of playing for IPL.
