Sandhurst Honour Again!

Ever since Pakistan Army resumed sending their 2nd/3rd termers from PMA to the RMA Sandhurst after a gap of many years in 1998-1999, Pakistani cadets have won honours for best overseas cadets every other year.

This year again at the RMA passing out parade on 12 April;

*“Officer cadet **Ahmed Raza Khan **of Pakistan Army was awarded Overseas Sword of Honour on completion of his training at the Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst, here on Wednesday.
Raza Khan was also awarded nine medals for his distinguished performance in various fields of training at an earlier ceremony, said official sources said.
Khan received training at Sandhurst from May 2005 to April 2006.
He received his one year initial training in 112 Long Course from the Pakistan Military Academy, Kakul.”

Britain’s Prince Harry was also on parade passing out alongside 220 other British and foreign cadets. He is joining a light cavalry regiment.

I wonder what unit Raza Khan is joining…

Re: Sandhurst Honour Again!

Another Royal passing out at the parade was Bharain’s Shaikh Khalifa bin Rashid Al Khalifa gs/o Bahrain PM Shaikh Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa. Bahrain’s King himself too is a Sandhurst graduate.
As is King Abdallah of Jordan, who’s father King Hussain was too.
