I have not tried rubbing oil but I dont know if it will help, I will try.

In the attached picture, the red arrow is where it cuts the most. The size seems right to me as it does not feel tight. It feels that the sides are always too hard (even when they do not feel very hard) so when it keeps rubbing against the skin, I get those cuts.
Sometimes I also get marks or cuts where the blue arrow is, that might be due to wrong size.

I have the same issue and have tried plenty of different things. The conclusion is that I am incredibly fussy about my footwear and don’t just buy shoes on a whim. I will wear them around the house to decide if I’m keeping them or not. If they seem to rub anywhere, they go back because if they are rubbing just in the house, they will for sure rub really badly when you wear them properly outside. Sometimes you find a brand where the shoes don’t cause a problem, so I stick to that. My last 3 pairs of flats have been from steve madden and none of them cut or rub anywhere.

I make sure they don’t rub at the front, where you drew blue arrows because there is almost nothing you can do about that. For the red arrows, I always make sure I buy 1/2 size up and put a gel heel strip in the back.
