I know Phulkari on Ilford Lane will soon have the new 2012 Sana Safinaz Lawn collection. Does anyone know how much one suit is?

This is about 5 mins away from me! They've had Sana Safinaz in store for a while, I think their prices for unstitched lawn last summer was about £70? I can't remember exactly cos they had a lot of other fabrics which were cheaper. Their ready made formals were a lot more though.

I'll check the prices of the lawn on the way home and find out though!

Hey babe thanks! Yes the Sana Safinaz pret range is a lot more around £500 upwards! I was hoping their lawn collection isn't above £100 unstiched!

Any idea who would tailor the lawn suit? Does Phulkari offer that serviced?

I can't remember actually. I remember asking whether they had a tailor and I think at the time they might not have had one, but I really can't remember, plus they might have gotten one since then. I'll ask them that too though.

why is lawn so expensive, does sana and safinaz come with it too....or is it just the damn cloth.....i swear these stupid designers have made lawn unaffordable, lawn is lawn, otherwise cheap to produce.

stupid idiotic designers. and then they talk about prices beng reasonable for everyone... whose everyone, can the ghareeb in pakistan afford lawn now....nope.

It's all about the BRAND now. The rich are getting richer and the poor are getting poorer. However if people can afford it then so be it. I doubt people in the UK would know the difference between standard lawn and designer lawn.

Hokay I asked them today, they don't have it in stock yet but they said it will be the same price as last year's stuff, which is £65-£80. They're not sure about the tailors though cos they do work with one but their clients don't really use him much and they recommend that you use your own? But if you do go down there you can ask if they've changed that.

Ok great thanks for letting me know. Their lawn is pricey I think Maria B's is cheaper. Would be great to get the lawn but the problem is finding a good tailor!

I know what u mean alot of people in uk dont know the difference between designer and normal lawn! But u can tell a difference!

Ur tahiya its ok to buy suits but hard to find a decnt tailor! I got some lakhani suits in the winter and no tailor could stitch the galla on so i ended up sending it pak to get stitched!

We are going to have the best tailor in London who stitches the clothes like pakistani tailors :) so thats a good news for everyone in UK
